Life Guidance took a trip to Italy for this month’s chef demonstration.
Residents put on their chef hats and aprons and created their own Tomato Basil Bruschetta, enjoying the opportunity to prepare this classic dish themselves.

Atria Briarcliff lit up the first month of the 2026 Atria East Coast vs. Atria West Coast Color Challenge with a whole lot of YELLOW. From our color run/walk to themed photo props and a sunshine‑inspired Chef Showdown, the energy was nonstop. Residents, family members and staff had a blast making this week happen. Mexican Street Corn Dominates the Atria Briarcliff Manor BBQ Showdown!

Today at Atria Briarcliff Manor, the heat wasn’t just coming from the grill — it came from a high‑spirited culinary face‑off between Director of Culinary Services and Lt. Will Reyes of the Ossining Fire Department. Their mission: create the ultimate BBQ side dish.
In honor of National Corn Day, Lt Reyes brought out a bold, flavor‑packed Mexican Street Corn, while Chef Leah countered with a refreshing and elegant Grilled Peach & Burrata Salad.
Residents tasted, debated, and cast their votes. And the winner was… Mexican Street Corn — by a landslide! Lt. Reyes claimed the official first‑place title, earning a super fancy trophy, a highly coveted cook‑off winner ring and, of course, bragging rights until the next showdown. Residents loved sampling both dishes, making the event a delicious success and a perfect kickoff to summer.

A special thanks to Ossining Fire Dept for taking time out of their day to come have some fun with our residents.

We have had such an incredible year partnering with the students of Briarcliff Middle School. Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful interactive event with Mrs. Toomey and her French students, accompanied by Mrs. White.

The relationships that have blossomed between our residents and the students have been truly special. The laughter, conversations, and shared experiences throughout the school year have created meaningful connections that have touched all of us.

We are so grateful for the time we have spent together and look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership in the future.

Our Director of Culinary Services, Leah, created delicious chicken salad lettuce cups for this month’s Life Guidance cooking demonstration. Adding a creative twist, she also prepared a curry chicken salad version to showcase another flavorful way to enjoy lettuce cups. As always, Chef Leah brought plenty of smiles and delicious flavors for everyone to enjoy.

Happy Memorial Day from all of us at Atria Briarcliff Manor!
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful day filled with a beautiful buffet and barbecue, festive cocktails, a front row seat to the Briarcliff Manor Memorial Day Parade, and live entertainment to close out the celebration.
Most importantly, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and special moments shared together. We are so grateful to celebrate every holiday with the residents who make our community so special.

One important benefit of senior living that many people might not realize is how much it helps residents build friendships and stay connected with others. Even though our residents come from many different backgrounds and have had various life experiences, they often find things they have in common and develop a sense of camaraderie and belonging. A walk on a sunny beautiful day is a simple and special way for friends to spend time together.
