We often say Happy Memorial Day, but is is appropriate to say Happy? I think it is not a happy day to those who lost family/friends. This is a day to honor their sacrifice and acknowledge our freedom that came at their expense.

Do you give yourself permission to be human? To me this means we make mistakes sometimes because we are human and not perfect. I have learned beating yourself up for mistakes is not helpful. If we need to change beating ourselves up is not how to make progress, but learning ways to change is.
