A big thank you to Kristin Capcino and Amanda Hilzer, M.Ed., LCADC, CAADC, CCS from Guardian Recovery for visiting our Princeton team and sharing more about your programs and services.

We appreciate the opportunity to learn about the valuable resources you provide and to discuss how we can work together to strengthen the continuum of care for individuals throughout Mercer County.

And thank you for the thoughtful breakfast spread... the bagels, coffee, and fresh fruit were greatly appreciated! We look forward to building a strong partnership and continuing to support our community together.

Not all wounds are visible, and Trauma doesn't end when the event is over.

This PTSD Awareness Month, we're encouraging conversations that promote understanding, reduce stigma, and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone.

Awareness matters. Support matters. Mental health matters.

GenPsych was honored to attend the “Spring into Hope” Mental Health Awareness Luncheon hosted by Preferred Behavioral Health Group. Representing GenPsych at the event were our Program Directors, Emily and Brielle, who joined mental health professionals, community advocates, and local leaders for an afternoon centered on awareness, connection, resilience, and hope.

Events like these remind us that mental health awareness is not just about conversation; it is about action, compassion, education, and ensuring people know they are not alone. We are grateful to Preferred Behavioral Health Group for the invitation and for creating a space that encourages learning, support, and community engagement.

Thank you for having us as part of such an impactful event. 💙

We’re opening our doors at our Rochelle Park, New Jersey location for a special event, and we’d love to welcome you in.

GenPsych is organizing an event, an opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with a community of professionals who care deeply about mental health and whole being. We are inviting partners across all facets of care and community, including medical providers, hospitals, recovery centers, colleges, law enforcement agencies, and community partners, truly, anyone who plays a role or is interested in supporting wellbeing and healing.

Join us as we offer guided tours of our facility, share more about our services, and create space for meaningful conversations with like-minded professionals. It’s a chance to better understand what we do, how we do it, and how we can work together to support the communities we serve.

celebrates every mother and caregiver.

Thank you for the love you give, the strength you carry, and the care you show. As a parent, you continually pour so much into your children and loved ones, and that kind of dedication should not go unnoticed. We all know motherhood is powerful, but it can also be overwhelming. The emotional and mental load you carry is scary, and that's why celebrating your commitment on days like these matters to us.

But more importantly, today is a gentle reminder that you deserve care, rest, and support too. So, take a moment for yourself.

Breathe. Reflect. Recharge.

You give so much of yourself to others, and you deserve that same kindness in return.

Happy Mother’s Day

This National Nurses Week, we take a moment to recognize the incredible individuals who stand at the heart of care, our nurses.

We know “nursing is a commitment to humanity”, but we’re more than grateful you act out this saying wholly. Every day, you show up with strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication. You are our calm in moments of uncertainty, our comfort in times of fear, and the voice that reassures when it matters most. Your impact is felt far beyond the walls of any hospital.

We appreciate your patience listening and the resilience to keep going even on the toughest days. And while your work may not always be seen, it is always deeply felt.

This week, and every week, we celebrate and thank you for the job well done.

And we honor the difference you make in countless lives every single day.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a time dedicated to raising awareness, encouraging open conversations, and reminding people that your mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical health.

This is our moment to recognize that millions of people quietly go through stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, disorder, and emotional exhaustion every day.

We celebrate this month by breaking stigma, promoting understanding, and creating spaces where people feel safe to speak, seek support, and be heard without judgement. It is also a chance to appreciate the strength of those who continue showing up daily while carrying invisible battles that others may never see.

My advice this month is simple: be kinder to yourself and to others. Check in on your loved ones, rest when your mind needs to rest, set boundaries where necessary, and never feel ashamed to ask for help. Healing does not always look dramatic; sometimes it looks like taking a break, saying no, attending therapy, praying, journaling, or simply making it through the day. Mental health matters every month, but this month reminds us that caring for our minds is not a weakness, it is wisdom. Let us continue to choose empathy, support, and honest conversations that help people feel less alone.
