It was a beautiful morning to pick some flowers for our afternoon of making bouquets for the dining room and residents rooms! Thanks again Rachael!!

We had so much fun on National Watermelon Day so of course we had to celebrate National Lemonade Day today!!! Staff had a competition to guess the different kinds of lemonade. Did you know there is a blueberry lemonade? We might have also snuck in good old lemon juice 😉. It came down to our mother/son duo and Nikki took the lead on Jack once again! We also guessed how many lemon heads were in the jar. Congratulations to Bonnie E, Irene R, and Norma S for guessing the closest numbers without going over! We had delicious lemon cookies and lemonade after bingo in the afternoon!

Did you know today is National Watermelon Day? We did all things Watermelon starting with a staff Watermelon eating contest this morning. It came down to mother and son but Nikki took 1st and Jack came in 2nd! Residents then had the chance to taste test the Watermelon. This afternoon we made a Watermelon craft. Throughout the day we had a Watermelon weight guessing game. It weighed 20.4 #. Mariann guessed 20 # and won for the residents guesses. We had three staff guess 20 # so they went in to a drawing and Starla (not pictured) was the winner for staff. Last but not least check the cute homemade Watermelon sugar cookies that Lisa made today!!! 🍉
