Our residents enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the patio exercising their minds and soaking up the sunshine! ☀️🐶

During today’s Brain Games session, residents put their memory and observation skills to the test with a fun game of “Name That Dog.” From playful pups to familiar breeds, everyone enjoyed sharing stories about their favorite canine companions while working together to identify each furry friend.

The warm weather, fresh air, and friendly competition made for a perfect combination of fun and cognitive engagement. Activities like these help keep minds active while creating opportunities for laughter, conversation, and connection.

Summer & Outdoor Games Week was in full swing! ☀️🏖️ Our employees had a blast participating in a Beach Ball Scavenger Hunt filled with laughter, and summer fun.

Be on the lookout for Jose, our Maintenance Director, keeping things bright while sporting his new sunglasses during outdoor building maintenance. 😎 DON Melissa knows the importance of protecting and caring for others, so it was only fitting she chose an after-the-sun skin care product as her prize! And Jinky, always serving up smiles in the dining room and kitchen, will be working on the perfect punch recipe for our residents to enjoy. 🍹

Brains were buzzing and competition was fierce during our game of Jeopardy! Residents put their knowledge to the test with categories full of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Congratulations to Colleen for earning the highest score of the game! 🎉🏆 We are so proud of everyone who participated and made the afternoon such a great time. 🐝🍯 We had a sweet time celebrating National Honey Bee Day with both residents and employees! Residents enjoyed delicious honey snack cups and green tea with ginseng and honey while spending the afternoon playing their favorite Thursday Bingo game. 🌼💛

Residents also participated in a special honey-themed raffle, and congratulations to our lucky winner, Edna M! 🎉🍯

Employees joined in the celebration by enjoying a variety of tasty “honey” snacks throughout the day. The fun, treats, and time spent together created a warm and cheerful afternoon for everyone involved. Thank you to all who helped make the day so special! 🐝

Residents enjoyed learning about the meaningful holiday of Shavuot while sharing delicious cheese danish together. 🧀✨Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and celebrates the grain harvest. A beloved tradition of the holiday is enjoying dairy foods such as cheesecake, blintzes, quiches, and other sweet treats. The custom comes from the belief that after receiving the kosher laws, the Israelites relied on simple dairy meals before preparing kosher meat dishes.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Debbie, for providing such an engaging and educational program for our residents. We appreciate the opportunity to learn, celebrate traditions, and create meaningful moments together! 💙

🎶 Yodel-ay-hee-hoo! 🎶 We celebrated the legendary Eddy Arnold on Country Crooner Day with a little extra “Yodels” and plenty of smiles! 🤠 Residents and employees enjoyed delicious “Yodel” cakes while reminiscing about classic country tunes, tapping their toes, and sharing memories inspired by the smooth voice of the Tennessee Plowboy himself. From heartfelt ballads to joyful yodeling, music has a wonderful way of bringing people together and brightening the day! ❤️🎵
