Our nonprofit center is funded through fees for services, grants, fundraising and public contributions. We also accept Adams County Medicaid and some insurance.

Pennock Center for Counseling is a nonprofit counseling center, we work to close gaps in mental health care by making our counseling services more accessible and affordable, through a sliding fee scale tailored to each person’s financial situation. Clients are seen based on a sliding fee scale according to income.

💚 Community. Connection. Hope. 💚

A heartfelt thank you to City of Brighton for inviting us to participate in yesterday's Annual City BBQ! It was a wonderful evening filled with great conversations, new connections, and the opportunity to share information about the affordable mental health services we provide throughout our community.

One of the most meaningful parts of the event was hearing from so many individuals who stopped by to tell us that they, or someone they love, have received counseling services at Pennock. Those conversations were a powerful reminder of why we do this work.

We were especially touched to meet one community member who shared that she had just reached out to us this past week and will be coming in for her very first counseling session next week. Knowing that someone is taking that courageous first step toward healing is incredibly inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, spun the prize wheel, asked questions, and shared your stories with us. Serving our community and helping ensure mental health care is accessible to those who need it most is what it's all about. 🫶

🎉 Welcome Emily to the Pennock Center for Counseling Team! 🎉

Emily is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Transpersonal Art Therapy at Naropa University, where she is developing an integrative approach that combines expressive arts with traditional therapeutic practices to support healing and personal growth.

Emily's clinical experience includes providing both talk therapy and art therapy to children and adults. Most recently, she completed an internship supporting adults in addiction recovery, helping clients explore healing, resilience, and personal growth through both individual and group therapy.

Her professional background also includes working with a wide variety of populations, including older adults in memory care, children on the autism spectrum, and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Emily believes that integrating art therapy with traditional counseling creates meaningful opportunities for self-expression, self-discovery, and emotional healing. Her therapeutic approach is holistic and person-centered, emphasizing the importance of meeting each individual where they are while building on their unique strengths, goals, and needs. She also incorporates mindfulness-based practices to promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.

When she's not counseling or studying, Emily enjoys creating art, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

We are excited to have Emily join the Pennock Center for Counseling team and look forward to the compassion, creativity, and care she will bring to our clients and community. Please help us give her a warm welcome! 💚
