Of course I'm dancing today because tomorrow is surgery #2 and I'll be far from dancing.

But I need everyone's good vibes. I know the surgery will be fine but I'm hoping i don't need to be on meds after this. For the last couple years the right side of my thyroid has not been working and the left side has been picking up the slack. We are hoping that once we evict the right side that the left side will continue doing its job.

The surgery comes with minimal risks but it will be tricky based on what she sees when she's in there. My trachea is shifted bc of the main nodule and there might be another nodule in the center. My surgeon will evaluate everything and make the best decision. I trust her, she's amazing, and she required me to wear my tutu to the hospital so how could she not be awesome.

First off.... thank you to everyone who has reached out to check on me, has called me, or has brought me meals. You are appreciated more than words will ever convey.

I am recovering nicely from hernia surgery, however due to how gnarly the repair was, my surgeon cautioned me too EASE my way back into work. I am still in restrictions for another 3-4 weeks so I totally have time to learn and understand what the concept of easing my way back into work looks like 🤣🤷‍♀️🤣.

The most important news is that i met with my thyroid surgeon today. Not only did she hear me, she listened when I begged her for an ASAP surgery so I didn't have to take any additional time of work. My surgery is this upcoming Wednesday... prayers and good vibes appreciated. This recovery has me on full and total restrictions for 7 days, with moderate restrictions for another 7 days then I'm clear...YIPPEE

What this means for y'all... we are in the home stretch and I'm almost back to work with the understanding that I will be starting SLOWLY and not at full capacity, so please have patience with me as I get back into this thing we call life.

Thank you all for everything and if you're wondering why the tutu meme... my surgeon told me I better wear my tutu to surgery.

This is a big week.... on Thursday I have my hernia repair follow up to make sure everything is on the right track. On Friday, I meet with the surgeon for my thyroid removal. This appt plus the scheduling of this surgery will be crucial to when I can return to work. While I'm not looking for another emergency surgery, I would like to have this surgery while I'm recovering from having my tummy fileted.

Dear Family, Friends, and Clients...

Beginning Wednesday July 29th I will be out on medical leave until Monday September 28th due to having an emergency surgery... or maybe 2.

If you are a client, I will try to get a hold of you to let you know when I will see you back in my office... Please understand that I am having abdominal surgery and my job does require a lot of abdominal work on my end. So that date of return could definitely fluctuate depending on how I am feeling. I might need a little more time to recover, or I might be able to come back a little sooner with some modifications, I will not know until I'm a little bit further into my recovery. So please have patience.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of my clients. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to take my vacation. My family and I appreciate you moving your appointments around to maximize my time off. You are appreciated. With that being said, I'm back and ready to work.
