SO many uses for the beautiful & highly aromatic & sweetly licorice-y plant!
—little Herbal vocabulary for you…
Herbs like anise hyssop - with many uses… Are called POLYCREST 🌿🍃🤎
The most common use is for the respiratory tract, & that’s where I use it— in my lung support blend that I call ‘Deep Inhale.”
Not only does it add a soothing element for a sore throat, but it helps to loosen mucus and stimulate cough… all while being antiviral & antibacterial! - in the lungs…
So when combined with other strong expectorant Herbs… such as Sage and Mullein… this creates a tea that makes recovering from a lung infection of any kind much easier & faster!
adding other antibacterial herbs — such as thyme… & other demulcent / moistening herbs like marshmallow elevates a lung support blend even more!

Tomorrow I’ll be back in Newport Aquidneck Community Table after a bit of a stretch away… I’m really looking forward to seeing the NPT community again!
Friday I’m back in Wakefield with Wakefield Village Association for their RiverFire event — with live music & food & vendors like me all in beautiful river-side Saugatuck Park!
Saturday I’ll be back in Bristol for the morning market Mount Hope Farmers Market

& Sunday (if I have an ounce of energy …& inventory 🤞🏽🙏🏽) I’ll be back in Boston SoWa Boston Centre with the amazing regional vendors & farmers & food trucks that all come together at 500 Harrison Ave in South Boston every Sunday!!

I’m brewing the 1st batch of the lovely light peak-Summer floral blend today!
Bringing it to Jamestown Farmers Market
-which starts at 3– making it perfect timing!
Sun Tea takes a good 4-5 hours of direct sun to brew, depending on the plants of course!

This blend is all leaves & flowers I have been harvesting &/or wildcrafting for the past month or so… they are our New England Summer in your cup!!

An amazing plant for skin healing —is included in many of my topical products!
& in my Digestive blend ‘Eat Drink Digest’
because all of the properties this plant brings to healing your skin, like moisturizing and creating a protective barrier, and helping to heal, cuts and wounds… This plant does the same for our digestive tract when we drink it in a tea!
And when looking at the package or the sun brew teabag… It is the bright yellow petals that you see 🌼
