Father's Day can bring a mix of emotions for those who are grieving the loss of a father, grandfather, husband, son, or another important father figure. While many families celebrate the day, others may find themselves reflecting on memories and feeling the absence of someone they love.

There is no right or wrong way to experience grief during holidays and special occasions. Whether you choose to gather with family, share stories, visit a meaningful place, or simply take time for quiet reflection, honoring those feelings is an important part of the journey.

If Father's Day feels a little different this year, know that you are not alone.

💙❤️ Celebrating CNA Week! ❤️💙

This week, the Oakley-Cook Funeral Home team had the privilege of recognizing the incredible Certified Nursing Assistants at The Waters of Bristol for the compassionate care they provide every day.

To show our appreciation, we delivered a few sweet treats and small tokens of gratitude to thank these dedicated caregivers for the difference they make in the lives of residents and families. Their kindness, patience, and commitment help bring comfort, dignity, and support to so many.

Thank you to all CNAs for the essential role you play in caring for our loved ones. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and our community is stronger because of you. 💙

Last week, to celebrate National Donut Day, the team at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home delivered donuts to some of the wonderful people and organizations who help make our community stronger every day.

A special thank you to the dedicated men and women of the Town of Bluff City, Sheena Tinsley and Sarah Owens at the Sullivan County Register of Deeds Office, and all of the community partners who welcomed us with smiles along the way.

Of course, no Donut Day delivery route happens without teamwork! We had a great time loading up boxes, making deliveries, and sharing a little sweetness throughout the community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside so many caring professionals who make a difference every day. Thank you for all you do for the families and communities of our region.

Make a Mark on the World That Can't Be Erased.

Every person leaves an impact through the relationships they build, the lessons they share, and the memories they create.

Today, technology offers new opportunities to preserve those stories. From recorded life histories and tribute videos to online memorials that can be visited from anywhere, families can create lasting collections of memories that continue to inspire future generations.

A meaningful legacy is more than a moment in time. It is a story that continues to be shared, remembered, and celebrated.
