This weekend I attended the inaugural meeting of the newly formed DESA in NYC. It was a great event that had attendees from around the globe discussing dry eye and ocular surface disease. It was a first step initiating collaboration with optometrists and ophthalmologists across the country and internationally. We had industry leaders to present treatments and technology! This discourse needs to continue. Learning about up and coming treatments and tests to better serve our patients is very exciting. I bring new energy for clinic on Monday morning. I hope to always bring the latest and greatest information, care, and technology to my patients. This meeting has certainly given me additional tools for my toolbox 🧰. I love Optometry and enjoy working in the dry eye and ocular surface disease space.
