☀️ July is UV Safety Month! ☀️
Summer is a great time to get outside—but it's also important to protect your skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Too much sun exposure can increase your risk of skin cancer, premature aging, and painful sunburns.
Here are a few simple ways to stay safe this summer:
🧴 Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours.
🕶️ Wear sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays.
👒 Protect your skin with a wide-brimmed hat and lightweight clothing.
🌳 Seek shade, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.
💧 Stay hydrated while enjoying the outdoors.
Remember, UV rays can affect your skin even on cloudy days, so sun protection is important every day.
If you notice a new or changing mole, a sore that won't heal, or other skin concerns, schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider.
🌞 Stay safe. Stay healthy. Enjoy your summer!
