And just like that, the first week of the Fall semester is in the books at BHSON!

To our returning students — welcome back! We’ve missed having you in our halls. And to our newest students — welcome to BHSON! We are so happy you’re here and excited to watch your nursing journey begin.

We hope the snacks, treats, encouraging messages, familiar faces, and little reminders around the school helped make this first week a good one. Nursing school will bring plenty of hard work, but remember: your direction is more important than the time it takes to get there.

One week down and so much ahead. Be proud of yourselves, take it one day at a time, and know that your BHSON faculty and staff are here cheering you on every step of the way. You belong here.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2026 New Student Orientation on August 4th! It was wonderful welcoming our newest BHSON students and helping them take the first step toward beginning their nursing journey with us. 💙

From meeting faculty and staff, learning about program expectations, and getting familiar with our school community, we hope each student left feeling prepared, supported, and excited for the Fall semester ahead.

🎉 Congratulations, Class of 2026 — YOU DID IT! 👏💙

In a beautiful full-circle moment, our honorary guest singer, Charles "Chuck" Pierce, gave a moving rendition of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" at our 2026 Commencement Ceremony last week where we had the honor to graduate 55 new nurses.

Thank you to the 400+ people who have already watched the ceremony online and to everyone who joined us in person to support and celebrate BHSON's Class of 2026 graduates. The world is a brighter place with these special souls entering the nursing profession, and we are so honored to have been part of their journey and to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside them.

BHSON is proud to celebrate a NCLEX first-time pass rate of 94% in 2025, surpassing both the Massachusetts and national averages.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, the expertise of our faculty and staff, and the strength of a nursing program that has been preparing compassionate nurses since 1897.

As the only hospital-based nursing school in Massachusetts, we remain committed to educating the next generation of exceptional nurses. 💙
