“Stay present and be thoughtful in those moments. Feel fully, but try not to let those feelings dictate decision-making. Be curious and intentional in thinking through how to manage and don't let the worst case scenario fears take the lead. Remember the people you have who want to be in it with you”

Anxiety is a common part of life—it’s not realistic to imagine living without it. The key is not to fight anxious thoughts (which usually creates more stress), but to reframe and make incremental adjustments.

Life often feels demanding unless we first center yourselves, and recognize our own stress thresholds. With busy jobs, family challenges, or caring for small children or aging parents, it’s easy to dismiss our own need for time to reset. Yet, creating inner space gives us more flexibility and freedom to handle what comes.

Often, anxiety shows up as catastrophizing—imagining the worst as a way to feel in control. This coping strategy makes sense, because worrying can feel like protection against being blindsided. But in the long run, it only increases anxiety.

The real path forward is awareness and acceptance: noticing what we can and cannot control, and gently releasing the rest. This shift allows us to respond to life’s demands with clarity instead of overwhelm.

Last week, we had the opportunity to co-host an intimate event with best-selling author Belle Burden. Her memoir, "Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage", offers a candid and groundbreaking look at her personal journey through divorce.

This event perfectly complements our partnership with and the launch of our Divorce Support Group. Since October, our community has more than doubled in size. These free, confidential groups meet twice a month to provide support and connection.
