The Counseling Center At the Counseling Center, we help people solve problems, wrestle with painful or confusing feelings and navigate through difficult times.

Our goal is to help people build new and expanded lives for themselves. The Counseling Center is a group of seasoned, highly trained psychotherapists. Services offered include a variety of modalities, such as marital counseling, individual adult psychotherapy, individual child psychotherapy, family therapy, and parent guidance, as well as vocational counseling. Once an inquiry is made, potential c

lients are placed with the appropriate therapist for their particular needs. All contact is kept strictly confidential.

We are beyond thrilled to announce that, thanks to your overwhelming generosity, we exceeded our fundraising goal! The Counseling Board came out strong to raise money for our mission, and having our TCC therapists there to celebrate with us made the night even more special.

Last week, we had the opportunity to co-host an intimate event with best-selling author Belle Burden. Her memoir, "Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage", offers a candid and groundbreaking look at her personal journey through divorce.

This event perfectly complements our partnership with and the launch of our Divorce Support Group. Since October, our community has more than doubled in size. These free, confidential groups meet twice a month to provide support and connection.

March 9th marks National Get Over It Day, but in the world of mental health, we know that "getting over it" is rarely as simple as a calendar entry.

Whether it’s a past mistake, a difficult relationship, or a version of yourself you’ve outgrown, holding on can be reflexive, and can feel like a full-time job. It’s emotionally exhausting to carry the weight of things we can no longer change.

At the Counseling Center, we view "letting go" not as an act of forgetting, but as an act of reclaiming your wellbeing. It’s about making a conscious choice to stop letting yesterday’s hurt dictate today’s peace of mind. Today isn’t about rushing your healing; it’s about giving yourself permission to place the heavy things down, even if just for a moment, to see how much lighter you feel.

A reminder that we are having our divorce support group on Wednesday, March 11th and Monday, March 16th.

Newly separated or divorced? Know someone who is? In partnership with the Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe, we are offering monthly support groups for women with members of our counseling staff to share experiences and gain insights. These groups so far have proven to be enormously helpful! Please join us in the Memorial Library of the Reformed Church of Bronxville to be part of it.

This Valentine’s Month, we’re thinking about the kind of love that catches you off guard.

There’s a reason Heated Rivalry has taken the world by storm. There’s a slow burn to how the love between Ilya and Shane develops from infatuation to deep connection, from secrecy to honesty, from rivalry to companionship. It’s the ultimate win.
If you haven’t watched it yet, we recommend it. The series gives a window into the challenges of a same-sex relationship in a heteronormative environment. Watching their love prevail is heartwarming. And seeing Shane’s parents support their child in his loving relationship will melt your heart—you’ll definitely want a tuna melt when the series reaches its conclusion!
