What an incredible day at the Blue Lotus Center!

Recently, we packed two busloads of residents and headed to Blue Lotus Center for a day filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

From pedal boats, kayaking, and canoeing to fishing, biking, and simply enjoying the beauty of nature, there was something for everyone to experience. It was truly heartwarming to see so many residents trying new things, sharing smiles, and making lasting memories together.

We were also incredibly grateful for the amazing staff at Blue Lotus. Everyone was so welcoming, kind, and accommodating, helping to ensure that each resident could fully enjoy the day.

The weather could not have been more perfect, and we left feeling truly blessed. Thank you to Blue Lotus for providing such a beautiful and accessible place for our residents to connect with nature, friendship, and fun.

We had an amazing time and can’t wait to visit again!

This month, we are excited to spotlight Curtis, a valued member of our Regency family whose positivity and authenticity make a lasting impact on those around him.

One of Curtis’s favorite things about working in the community is the people he works alongside and the fact that each day brings something new. He believes in living life to the fullest and making the most of every moment spent with loved ones, a mindset that shines through in the way he connects with residents and coworkers alike.

When he’s away from work, Curtis enjoys spending quality time with family. One of his favorite memories was taking a road trip to Ohio with his loved ones and enjoying the adventure together.

Curtis also lives by a simple but meaningful piece of advice: “Be who you are.” It’s a message that reflects his genuine personality and welcoming spirit.

A fun fact many may not know about Curtis is that he is ordained and has officiated three weddings!

We are so thankful for the warmth, kindness, and energy Curtis brings to our community each and every day.

Before joining our community, Mae Jean worked in a salon, where she styled hair and did nails. One of her most memorable experiences was doing the nails of English actress Lynn Fontanne. Mae Jean says the most rewarding part of her career was getting to know her clients and helping them feel their best. For her, there was something especially fulfilling about bringing a client’s vision to life and making them happy.

When asked what she would do if she had a million dollars, Mae Jean said she would travel all over Europe. Maybe even around the whole world! But no matter where her adventures took her, she says she would always come back to Wisconsin, because it’s home.

We’re inspired by Mae Jean’s kindness, humor, and life story, which remind us that a meaningful career can leave a lasting impact, not only on others, but on ourselves as well.

Over the past several months, we have had the privilege of partnering with an incredible group of students through the LAUNCH program. These students have shared their time, talents, creativity, and enthusiasm with our residents, and we are so grateful for the impact they have made.

As their final project, they helped plan and host our Masquerade Prom, and what an unforgettable afternoon it was! From the decorations and activities to the laughter and dancing, their hard work helped create a truly special experience for everyone involved.

This event would not have been possible without their dedication, and we cannot thank them enough for all they have done. ❤️

Over the past few months, we’ve been fortunate to welcome the LAUNCH high school students into our community twice a week. Their kindness, energy, and dedication helped build meaningful connections with our residents and made them a valued part of the Regency family.

From assisting with activities to hosting an unforgettable Masquerade Prom, they brought joy, compassion, and enthusiasm to everything they did. Their impact on our residents has been truly special.

While we’re sad to see them go, we’re proud of all they’ve accomplished and excited for what’s ahead. Thank you for the memories, laughter, and friendships. We wish you all the best. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts. ❤️
