Today, Avera and Avera Health Plans launched a new patient portal known as Avera MyChart as the system converts to a new electronic health record. Current patients and new patients will need to create a new account on or after May 30 at Avera.org/MyChart. With the new portal, patients can:

✅ Schedule primary care appointments.
✅ Connect with providers with virtual visits.
✅ Manage care for family members.
✅ ...and more!

📣 We want to share an important update about an upcoming system change designed to improve your experience with us.

Starting May 30, Brookings Health and Avera Medical Group Brookings will transition to a new electronic health record (EHR) and billing system. 💻

What this means for you:
🔹 Visits that take place before May 30 will remain in our current system
🔹 Visits on or after May 30 will be recorded in our new system

Because of this transition:
💳 You may receive two separate billing statements—one for visits before May 30 and one for visits after
💳 Payments will also be processed through two different systems, depending on the date of service

We understand this is a change, and we’re here to help make the process as smooth as possible. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program – Available at Access Health-Brookings

The All Women Count! program makes breast and cervical cancer screenings accessible for eligible South Dakota women. Mammograms, Pap smears, and related exams are available at no cost through participating doctors' offices, mammography units, family planning centers, and health clinics.

Who is Eligible?
The All Women Count! program serves:
• Women ages 30-64 for Pap smears.
• Women ages 40-64 for mammograms.
• Women 30-39 for mammograms with preauthorization from the AWC! Program.

You May Qualify if You:
• Are uninsured and cannot afford screening exams.
• Have insurance but cannot afford the deductible or co-payment.
