Sometimes the seasonal shift feels less like sadness and more like "I just don't have the energy."

Pay attention to what feels different and if it keeps affecting your days, speak to someone.

What do you notice first: your sleep, energy, or motivation?

As the days get shorter, make a little room for something you look forward to. A call with a friend, a few minutes outside, or a quiet moment just for you.
Save this for a day when you need a gentle reset. 🤍

As the days get shorter you may notice shifts in your mood and energy. Give yourself room to adjust and reach out for support if those changes start affecting daily life.

When people talk about ADHD, they usually mention loss of focus or restlessness. What rarely gets talked about is how expensive it actually is both financially and emotionally.

It’s called the "ADHD tax" the hidden cost of navigating a world designed for neurotypical brains when your executive functioning is working against you.

It’s not just about spending money; it’s the quiet frustration of:

Replacing lost essentials: Rebuying keys, headphones, or water bottles for the third time because they vanished into thin air.

Late fees & penalties: Missed deadlines and forgotten bills simply because your brain placed them in the "out of sight, out of mind" folder.

Impulse & duplicate buying: Purchasing items you forgot you already owned because searching through chaos felt impossible.

Wasted time & energy: Spending hours frantically searching for things when you were supposed to be out the door 20 minutes ago.

The hardest part isn't just the money spent it’s the guilt that comes with it. But it’s important to remember: this isn't carelessness or "being bad at adulting." It’s executive dysfunction, and it is exhausting.

If you’ve paid the ADHD tax this week, give yourself some grace. You are far from alone. 🤍

What’s the most frustrating ADHD tax you’ve had to pay recently?

Sometimes, the fear of being left behind stays with us long after the experience itself.

Abandonment can affect how we build trust, form relationships, and respond to separation. Understanding where these feelings come from can be an important step toward healing.

OCD can affect everyday life in ways others may not see. Greater understanding can make a meaningful difference. 💙
