Join NAMI Minnesota for a webinar with Tanya Kennedy, MA, LPCC. Tanya is a licensed professional clinical counselor with over twenty years of experience in the mental health field. She brings a strengths-based, culturally responsive, holistic approach to mental health and healing. Her work recognizes that emotional well-being cannot be separated from a person’s lived experiences, culture, identity, family, and community. Grounded in multicultural and humanistic practices, Tanya centers cultural humility, collaboration, and respect while helping individuals and communities build upon the strengths and traditions they already possess.
Drawing on her extensive clinical experience and culturally responsive perspective, Tanya will explore how su***de prevention efforts can move beyond one-size-fits-all approaches and better recognize the experiences, protective factors, and sources of resilience within African immigrant and African American communities.
