𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻, a firefighter with 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝟭𝟲𝟴, went in for a health screening expecting the all-clear. While he received the good news that he didn't have cancer, the screening uncovered something else: an ascending aortic aneurysm.

This week, our firefighters had the opportunity to participate in an early detection cancer screening program through United Diagnostic Services.

Why is this important? Firefighters face unique occupational hazards and have a higher risk of developing certain cancers compared to the general population. Early detection is critical and can significantly improve treatment outcomes and long-term health.

Using advanced full-body ultrasound technology and comprehensive testing, United Diagnostic Services helps identify cardiovascular disease, cancer, and other occupational health risks in their earliest—and most treatable—stages.
