Being recognized by a national magazine is an honor I don’t take lightly.
The article highlights my views on how fascia holds emotions and trauma which affects our sense of wellbeing that can often show on our face.

Although the article prominently discusses my work, the article’s true importance is introducing the work to consumers who are hungry for services that are more than skin deep.

So many of your clients are hurting, and with a contentious political season in full swing, the stress levels are rising.

Are you prepared with effective techniques to help your clients release their tension and help them understand how their emotions affect their sense of wellness as well as aesthetics? That they can choose the thoughts that form their emotions?

Are you prepared to bring peace where there are anger and chaos?

We are in a unique position to help our clients feel and look better with services that go deep and acknowledge how deeply they are affected by our world while providing hope in the feeling of wellness.

When you care for your body and work intentionally, the results you create for clients are more consistent and lasting.

Comment LASTING below if you’d like to learn more.

If you don’t protect your body, your career won’t last.

Over the years I’ve learned to be very intentional about how I work.

• I position clients, so the work is comfortable for both of us
• I don’t work beyond the scheduled session
• I don’t see clients on my days off
• I work the hours when my body has the most energy

For me, that also means:
No nights.
No house calls — even for celebrity and CEO clients.

When your body is cared for, you can do your best work.
And that’s how a career can last decades instead of years.

I often see therapists trying to “win clients over” by giving more and more.

Extra time.

Free add-ons.

Skipping their own breaks.

But great care doesn’t mean sacrificing yourself.

I’m very clear about my boundaries.

The session includes exactly what we agreed upon in the consultation.

When you set clear boundaries and focus on quality over quantity, the results you create for clients are more meaningful and lasting.

Comment LASTING below if you’d like to learn more.

Clients also have responsibilities in their results:
• communicating their concerns
• committing to regular sessions
• following recommendations that support their progress

Healthy boundaries protect both the practitioner and the quality of the work.

One of the biggest mistakes I see in treatment rooms is distraction.

Small talk.

Gossip.

Thinking about the next client.

Thinking about lunch.

Instead, my attention is squarely on the client.

I listen carefully and ask clarifying questions, so I understand the real concern. That clarity allows me to design a treatment plan — not just for that day, but often for a series of sessions.

When you truly understand the problem, your work becomes more efficient and more effective.

And clients feel the difference.

When your attention is fully on the client and you design treatments with clarity, the results you achieve are more precise and lasting.

What does “work smarter, not harder” actually mean in massage and esthetics?

When you work smarter — focusing on client needs, boundaries, and protecting your body — the results you create for your clients can be more effective and lasting.

Comment LASTING below if you’d like to learn more.

In our field, working harder usually means longer hours, more clients, and eventually burnout.

Working smarter means something different.

It means structuring your practice so you can do excellent work without running yourself into the ground.

For me, that comes down to three things:
• Deep focus on the client’s real concern
• Clear professional boundaries
• Protecting my body so I can keep doing the work

I’ve been in practice 36+ years, and these principles are a big reason I’m still going strong.

Despite being popular with NYC celebrities, my method of Buccal Massage and Facial Sculpting with Myofascial Release works for everybody, no matter what state your skin is in.

This is about promoting a healthy lifestyle, wellness, and beauty. It helps reduce pain, it deeply releases tension and chronic patterns of dysfunction, helping the client look and feel their best.

BUT - it’s not just a technique I teach - it’s the business of aesthetics from a facial massage perspective. It’s not about discounts and “packages” that erode your income.

When your work produces results that clients truly value — and that are lasting — building a profitable practice becomes much easier.

Comment LASTING below if you'd like to learn more.

I’m all for education but it’s not wise to just accumulate endless techniques and certifications - you need solid business and practice management skills to build and maintain a profitable practice.

Your profit is what keeps you in business. In your personal life, you wouldn’t want to live “paycheck to paycheck” - you’d want some wiggle room. My Mom used to call it “saving for a rainy day”. She was so right!

You can also call it investing back into your business to;
- update your studio
- have product stock on hand for when your client actually wants it
- upgrade your technology to make booking and payments seamless for your clients and easier for you to manage “the books”
- hire out for the dreaded laundry or cleaning help
- invest in that course to upgrade your skills or attract a new type of client.

You have choices with profit. Without it, every month is a nail biter.

How would you feel if you ended each month and year in the black while doing facial massage?

Is facial massage “fluff”?

It is if you don’t get results. And too many massage techniques don’t have much ummmphhh. Feels nice, but…

I love relaxation as much as you do, but clients are more convinced to pay when there are specific results, results they can see and feel, and quite frankly, show off.

The result they’ll pay for is transformation.

The transformation they’ve come to expect from celebrity endorsements is face lifting - high cheeks, sculpted jawline or “V-line”, firm and glowing skin.

When your work produces results that are noticeable and lasting, your confidence grows — and so does your client list.

If you'd like to explore this approach, comment LASTING below.

Those results cannot be from haphazard application of the same old techniques you see everywhere on the internet. It also is less likely to happen when the same “steps” are applied to every client. Not everyone is the same - clients’ needs vary. So techniques must too.

Admit it - when you get results that wows your client, you feel terrific!

That feeling repeated turns into CONFIDENCE!

And increased confidence attracts more clients…and the ability to be a FULLY BOOKED esthetician or massage therapist.

You can then EARN what you DESERVE, without killing yourself every hour of every day :)

Let me be your guide. I’ll show you what has worked for me, because I want you to have the joy and fulfillment that I have in my career.

06/09/2026

Many therapists tell me they’re “slow” this time of year.

If you want to be slow, that’s great. You might want the downtime.

But I’m not talking about that kind of slow.

When your work produces results that clients feel are truly lasting, they come back — and they refer their friends.

If you'd like to explore this approach, comment LASTING below.

I fill my 4 client days per week because I’d rather be “slow” on the days I’m not in the treatment room.

This way I choose my slow time and decide how I want to spend it.

- Not worried about why my books are empty.

- Not wondering where the clients are or if they’re coming back.

- Not wondering how my bills will be paid this month.

- Not wondering if I’ll have enough to keep my practice going

- Not wondering what will happen in the Fall, because after all, it can actually be slow anytime if I don’t have the right strategy.

The right strategy boils down to a focus on getting results that your clients actually want.
