I’m not anti-HRT.

I’m not here to tell another woman what she should choose for her body either.

This is simply what I chose for ME — and the boring little things I refuse to negotiate with anymore because menopause humbled me fast. 😅

There was a stretch where I’d wake up tired after a full night in bed, feel puffy before breakfast, lose my train of thought mid-sentence, then hit 2PM like somebody pulled the plug.

I kept looking for one dramatic fix.

What helped me more was building a routine I could repeat.

🍳 Protein at breakfast
Coffee was not breakfast. I had to learn that one the hard way.
🚶‍♀️ A walk every day
Even 10–20 minutes counts. I feel worse when I sit all day waiting to “feel motivated.”
🏋️‍♀️ Strength training
I stopped trying to make myself smaller and started thinking about the woman I want to be at 80.
💧 Water before I’m desperate for it
My face, digestion and afternoon energy all seem to tell on me when I forget.
🌙 A boring bedtime
Not perfect. Just more consistent — and less scrolling until midnight.
🌿 Magnesium
This was the piece I added after thinking, “I already eat pretty well… so why do I still feel like I’m running on empty?”

A girlfriend told me about Toplux Magnesium Complex, 8 essential types of magnesium in one capsule. I liked that it wasn’t another complicated “meno detox” with 14 steps.

For me, it became one simple part of my night that helped me feel more supported and consistent alongside the basics I was already doing.

The exact magnesium I use is linked right here on the video and in my bio if you’re curious. 🌿

My no-negotiables aren’t sexy.

That’s why they work for me.

📌 Save this for the next morning you wake up feeling completely drained.
💌 Share it with the girlfriend who keeps saying, “I don’t feel like myself.”

Comment “RESET” if you’re starting this with me.

My knees started aching the same year my periods got unpredictable. That was no coincidence.

I was a nurse in Austin for 30 years and I saw it in so many women. Estrogen drops and the joints feel it.

I'd wince getting out of the car in the H-E-B parking lot. I took the elevator instead of two flights of stairs. I stopped kneeling in my garden because getting back up wasn't worth it.

Here's how I keep my knees moving. Number 4 is the one I'd start tonight.

1. 🥩 Protein at breakfast. Helps the muscles that support your knees.
2. 🧘‍♀️ Knee circles and gentle stretches before your feet hit the floor. Helps with morning stiffness.
3. 🚶‍♀️ A walk around the block after lunch. Helps keep things from stiffening back up.
4. 🌿 Magnesium every night. Helps with leg cramps and sleep. This changed my life and I never skip it.
5. 🛏️ Same bedtime, no exceptions. Helps your body recover.

I did the stretching and the walking. Still achy by afternoon, still avoiding stairs.

Nothing shifted until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at Walgreens like I did.

Toplux Magnesium Complex has 8 essential forms in one capsule.

Within two weeks I was sleeping through the night, and with the rest of this list I'm taking the stairs again ✨

No crash diets. No brutal workouts. No plastic surgery.

In my 30 years as a nurse in Austin, I watched women try all three and end up more tired than when they started.

What worked was always simpler. Easy enough to keep doing.

These are the habits I never skip. Number 2 is the one I'd start tonight.

1. 🍳 Two eggs before anything sweet. Helps stop the 10am shakes and cravings.
2. 🌿 Magnesium every evening. Helps with sleep and calm. This changed my life and I never skip it.
3. 🚿 Shower 90 minutes before bed, then keep the room cool. Helps you fall asleep.
4. 🥩 Protein at lunch too. Helps your muscles hold on.
5. 🏋️ Light weights twice a week. Helps keep you firm without wrecking you.
6. 🚶‍♀️ A walk after dinner. Helps keep blood sugar steady.

None of it is glamorous. That's where the real difference came from.

I used to have coffee and toast, then feel shaky and drained by 10. Still restless at night, still dragging in the morning.

Nothing shifted until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at Target like I did.

I was a nurse in Austin for 30 years and I still didn't know half of this at 50.

What I needed back then wasn't another motivational speech. I needed better information.

Here's what I wish someone had told me. Number 2 is the one I'd start tonight.

1. 🔥 Suffering through menopause is not a badge of honor. Find a doctor who actually understands it. Helps you stop guessing.
2. 🌿 Magnesium is not just a sleep pill. Take it every night. Helps with sleep and calm. This changed my life and I never skip it.
3. 🥩 One big protein dinner can't rescue a day with none. Eat some at every meal. Helps your muscles hold on.
4. 🧳 Carry two heavy dumbbells for 30 seconds, rest, repeat. Helps your grip, posture and core.
5. 🦷 Floss every night. Helps protect the gums that frame your smile.
6. 🚶‍♀️ A walk after dinner. Helps keep blood sugar steady.

I learned most of this the hard way. Lying awake at 3am, snapping at my family, foggy by lunch.

Nothing shifted until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at Costco like I did.

None of these are glamorous. That's exactly why they work.

In my 30 years as a nurse in Austin, the women who looked and felt younger never had a secret procedure. They had boring habits they never skipped.

No brutal workouts. No crash diets. No plastic surgery.

These are the 7 SIMPLE things I do daily. Number 2 is the one I'd never give up.

1. ☀️ Morning light before you touch your phone. Helps you sleep better later.
2. 🌿 Magnesium every night. Helps with sleep and calm. This changed my life and I never skip it.
3. 💧 Water before coffee. Helps with the morning fog.
4. 🥩 Protein with every meal. Helps protect the muscle that keeps you strong.
5. 🚶‍♀️ A walk after meals. Helps your digestion and clears your head.
6. 🏋️ Strength training twice a week. Helps you build a body you still trust at 80.
7. 😴 A regular bedtime. Helps every other habit on this list work.

Boring on purpose. It adds up every day.

Most women already drink water and walk. Still tired by 3pm, still tight and sluggish by evening.

Nothing shifted until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at Walgreens like I did.

I was a nurse in Austin for 30 years. The patients who moved well into their 70s weren't lucky. They practiced the movements they wanted to KEEP.

In my 50s I thought staying active was enough. I walked. I was "busy." But I still felt stiff getting off the floor and less sure on the stairs than I wanted to admit.

So I changed the question.

I stopped asking, "How many calories did I burn?"
I started asking, "Will this help 80 year old me?"

Here's what changed. Number 6 is the one I'd start tonight.

1. 🪑 Stand up from a chair 10 times without your hands. Helps you get up off the floor.
2. 🦵 Bridges and step ups. Helps with strong hips and easier stairs.
3. 🧘‍♀️ A few minutes on ankles, hips and shoulders. Helps with stiffness.
4. 🚶‍♀️ Walk almost every day. Helps with stamina and mood.
5. 💪 Lift something heavy twice a week. Helps you feel capable.
6. 🌿 Magnesium every night. Helps with leg cramps and sleep. This changed my life and I never skip it.

I was already doing most of this and still woke up stiff with cramps in my calves.

Nothing shifted until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at Walgreens like I did.

Within two weeks I was sleeping through the night and my legs felt lighter on my morning walk ✨

In my 30 years as a nurse in Austin, I heard the same thing from women over 50. Bloated, low on energy, frustrated with a body that felt like it was working against them.

Every time they brought it up, someone told them, "It's just your age."

It isn't. A lot of it comes down to what's on the plate and how well you recover at night.

These are the simple meals I eat for a flat tummy and a strong body:

🫐 Breakfast: Cottage Cheese & Berries. Full-fat cottage cheese, mixed berries, chia seeds and a few almonds.
🥗 Lunch: Chicken & Greens Plate. Grilled chicken, a big handful of greens, avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, olive oil and lemon.
🥩 Dinner: Simple Turkey Bowl. Ground turkey, broccoli, spinach, sweet potato, garlic and herbs.
🌿 Bedtime: Magnesium. Helps with sleep and calm. This changed my life and I never skip it.

Most of it comes from one Costco run. Easy and consistent.

You can eat clean and train hard and still feel puffy by 4pm. I did for years.

Nothing shifted until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at Walgreens like I did.

Toplux Magnesium Complex has 8 essential forms in one capsule.

Within two weeks I was sleeping through the night. The bloating calmed down and my body finally felt like it was on my side again. ✨

🍊 1. I eat the orange instead of drinking the juice

I used to finish a glass of juice in seconds, then wonder why I was hungry again before 10.

Now I eat the whole orange. It keeps me satisfied longer—and I’m not searching the cupboard for biscuits an hour later.

🌙 2. I take my magnesium every evening

I used to think all magnesium was the same. Mine combines 8 different forms in one, so I get broader support for my muscles, energy, digestion and sleep without taking eight separate pills.

When stress had me feeling wired at night, drained in the morning and bloated by evening, this became the one habit I stopped skipping.

The exact one I use is here 👉 https://linktwin.co/nia-magnesiumcomplex

🦶🏾 3. I keep a small footstool beside the toilet

I was tired of sitting there straining and pretending it was normal.

Raising my feet slightly made things much more comfortable—and not feeling constantly backed up made a noticeable difference to my swollen stomach.

🧴 4. I moisturise while my skin is still damp

I apply body lotion within a few minutes of stepping out of the shower instead of waiting until my skin already feels dry.

My arms and legs stay softer for much longer, especially during colder months.

🍷 5. I stopped having w**e on ordinary weeknights

I thought one glass was helping me relax. In reality, I was waking around 3 a.m. and starting the next morning with a dry mouth, tired eyes and a puffy face.

I save it for occasions now—and my sleep and mornings feel completely different.

Nothing dramatic. Just small fixes for problems I had quietly accepted as part of getting older.

Follow me for the other 5 habits ✨

In my 30 years as a nurse in Austin, the first thing I watched on every patient over 60 was how she got out of a chair.

If she pushed off with both arms, I knew her legs were going. The falls came next.

Most women notice it in their legs first. They get softer. Less firm. Not as strong as they used to feel.

These are my 6 secrets for strong, lean and powerful legs. Number 4 is the one I'd start tonight.

1. 🪜 Step ups on the bottom stair, 10 each leg, one hand on the rail. Helps with the stairs.
2. 🧱 Wall sit with your back flat against the wall, 30 to 60 seconds. Helps with strong knees.
3. 🍑 Lie on your back, feet flat, and lift your hips 15 times. Helps with your glutes and lower back.
4. 🌿 Magnesium every night. Helps with leg cramps and sleep. This changed my life and I never skip it.
5. 🍳 Protein at every meal. Helps your muscles hold on.
6. 🚶‍♀️ Walk every day, even 20 minutes. Helps with stamina.

None of this is extreme. It's the quiet things you repeat while your body is changing.

Most women already walk and stretch. Still waking at 2am with a cramp in their calf. Still heavy legs by evening.

Nothing shifted for me until the magnesium.

Don't spend hundreds on single bottles at H-E-B like I did.

Toplux Magnesium Complex has 8 essential forms in one capsule.

Within two weeks I was sleeping through the night, and my legs felt lighter on my morning walk at Town Lake. ✨

These are the simple meals I eat to stay strong, clear-skinned and full of energy at 68.

Nothing fancy. Just consistent food that works.

Here’s exactly what I ate today:

🍳 Breakfast – Egg & Greens Plate
▪️ 3 eggs
▪️ Large handful spinach
▪️ ½ avocado
▪️ Cherry tomatoes
▪️ Olive oil + sea salt
→ Soft scramble or boil the eggs and serve with the greens and avocado.

🥗 Lunch – Chicken & Cucumber Bowl
▪️ 150g chicken
▪️ Cucumber
▪️ Mixed greens
▪️ Fresh herbs
▪️ Olive oil + lemon
▪️ Handful of seeds
→ Shred the chicken and toss everything together.

🐟 Dinner – Simple White Fish & Vegetables
▪️ 160g white fish (cod or similar)
▪️ Broccoli + cauliflower
▪️ Garlic
▪️ Olive oil + lemon
▪️ Sea salt
→ Bake or pan-sear the fish and steam the vegetables.

I was already eating well and training hard…
but I was still waking up tired, a bit bloated, and looking more exhausted than I should.

High cortisol, poor recovery, puffy face, and that heavy feeling in my body just wouldn’t go away.

Then a friend gave me this magnesium and told me to take it every night.

I haven’t missed a single day in years.

It helped lower the stress my body was holding, improved my recovery, and made my skin and energy look and feel completely different.

I’ve taken this every single day for years.

The one I use is linked in my bio✨
