Grownup T1Ds Grownup T1Ds is a nonprofit created to serve the unmet needs of the adult type 1 diabetes community.

This is what T1D community can look like. 🚲

Not a conference room. Not a doctor’s office. Just a fall morning along the Schuylkill River Trail with other adults who happen to understand life with type 1 diabetes.

Our Philly Grownup T1Ds community is getting together Saturday, October 17 at 10 AM for a leisurely bike ride starting at Betzwood Picnic Area near Valley Forge Park.

Go 2 miles. Go 9. Turn around whenever you want. Bring a picnic lunch and stay awhile afterward.

And if biking isn’t your thing? Come anyway. Hang out at the picnic area and be part of the day.

Family members are welcome, too.

Something really good started in Pensacola. 💙

There was such a warmth to this first meetup. Good energy, welcoming people and the kind of conversations that happen when you’re surrounded by people who simply get it.

This wasn’t just one great afternoon. It was the beginning of an ongoing Pensacola community for adults living with type 1 diabetes.

And judging by this first meetup, there’s a lot to look forward to.

We’re starting in Boca Raton with coffee, conversation, new faces and the beginning of a pretty amazing T1D community in South Florida.

Grownup T1Ds is officially launching in South Florida, and our very first meetup is happening October 3 in Boca Raton!

There’s something pretty special about being there at the beginning of a new community.
People walk in as strangers, start talking about T1D (and everything else), and before you know it, numbers are being exchanged and new friendships are starting.

That’s what we’re building.
