Exactly... it's about them not you.

You might still feel deeply hurt by something someone said or did, and they may think that an apology they gave you was enough to heal the wound. Or maybe you decided removing someone from your life was the best thing for your mental health, and they think you’re being “dramatic,” and you should have forgiven them by now.

Multiple things can be true at the same time. Though we might try, we can’t actually control how other people perceive us. When you start to feel more secure in yourself, it gets easier to hold that truth.
