You already believe consistency beats intensity. You teach it to your kids. 💫

One piano practice ≠ fluency by Friday. One workout ≠ a changed body.

So why do we expect ourselves to work differently than we know our kids do? 🙃

Here’s the science: your body doesn’t actually get stronger during your workout — it’s during recovery, when it repairs and rebuilds a little more capable than before.

Exercise scientists call this adaptation — your body only responds to demands that show up often enough to matter. One epic workout followed by two weeks off? Doesn’t count. Your body responds to patterns, not grand gestures.

And it’s not just your muscles — your brain is learning too. The more you repeat a behavior, the less mental energy it takes to start it (scientists call this automaticity).

That’s why consistent exercisers aren’t more “motivated” — they’ve just practiced showing up enough times that it becomes part of who they are.

Motivation is flaky. Habits are dependable. 💪

So stop asking “what’s the best workout?” Ask “what can I realistically do today?”

It counts.

Every.

Single.

Time. 💥
