Another day advocating with the for a stronger, fairer future in physical therapy in Albany, NY💪

Here’s what we’re fighting for:

1️⃣ Fair Co-Pays for Patients
Limit physical therapy co-payments to no more than 25% above primary care co-pays. This keeps flexibility across insurance plans while protecting patients from unfair cost-shifting practices—without eliminating reasonable safeguards against overutilization.

2️⃣ Better Access to Care
Remove arbitrary barriers to physical therapy services. This ensures patients can get the care they need, when they need it—while maintaining responsible referral processes when symptoms fall خارج PT scope, and keeping primary care providers informed throughout treatment.

3️⃣ Modernized PTA Supervision
Update outdated regulations by amending Section 6738 of the Education Law—improving PTA supervision standards in home health and school settings to reflect today’s clinical realities.

This is about patients. This is about access. This is about doing what’s right.

We had such an amazing time celebrating our CEO, Tony, and our wonderful Michele for their birthdays yesterday! 🎉🎂
