Christian Schneider, DC, CCEP, Family Chiropractic Health Center

Christian Schneider, DC, CCEP, Family Chiropractic Health Center Dr. Schneider specializes in Chiropractic wellness, including advanced correction using chiropractic techniques, with a focus on spine and extremities.

Dr. Christian Schneider is one of the only Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioners (CCEP) in Hernando County. What does this CCEP designation mean and how does it enable him to better help his patients? The CCEP program consists of 7 distinct modules that cover what the chiropractor needs to know about treating most all extremity injuries. Although the chiropractic doctorate education prepa

res the chiropractor for basic extremity assessment and treatment, the CCEP program advances this knowledge tremendously so that the patient of the CCEP receives the highest level of care for their particular extremity needs. The modules are:

Advanced Principles of TMJ, Rib, and Shoulder Adjusting
Advanced Principles of Upper Extremity Adjusting
Advanced Principles of Lower Extremity Adjusting
Advanced Principles of Extremity Rehabilitation
Advanced Principles of Foot, Gait, and Orthotics
Soft Tissue Methods for the Spine and Extremities
Global Assessment of Extremities
Each module is followed by a written examination. The clinicians who pass all 7 written examinations are able to sit for the practical examination to become a CCEP. Dr. Christian Schneider grew up in Spring Hill and graduated from West Hernando Christian School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Saint Leo University. He graduated Magna cm laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. While attending Life University, Dr. Schneider became certified in Gonstead technique. This method represents the ultimate standard in "hands on" spinal adjusting and remains one of the leading chiropractic techniques. He completed additional courses in sports chiropractic and is certified as a Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), trained to assess, diagnose, and treat root causes to recurring pain in the spine and extremities, including TMJ problems, shoulder girdle syndromes, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee subluxations, Baker's cysts, sprained ankles, shin splints, foot and gait mechanics, misaligned hips, and leg length issues. Dr. Schneider has been trained to detect abnormalities in foot biomechanics, which can contribute to foot, knee, and hip pain, and prescribe functional orthotics to help correct them. While at Life University he served as treasurer of the Gonstead Club and studied Kodokan karate. Dr. Schneider is active in the community and is passionate about education and helping patients achieve better health and quality of life.

Chiropractors have a reputation for helping people to get out of pain, but it really is about much more than that. The nervous system does not just supply the muscles and joints, but the entire body. We often see patients who have other symptoms, but they don't correlate it to their pain. This is why we look at the whole picture and treat the cause, not just the symptoms. If you have questions or want to schedule an appointment, just call 352-596-1900 and ask about our specials!

Summer is definitely here! As we begin to resume our normal activities, remember to stay hydrated. Generally, water is best but if you're exercising outdoors more than 45 minutes then you may want to consider a sports drink or vitamin water to replenish electrolytes. Here is an article with more information.

Electrolytes are found in all kinds of foods, including fruits and vegetables, such as broccoli, kale, avocados, and bananas. Electrolytes help our body to function, and we lose them when we sweat a lot during exercise and become dehydrated.

We are still open in our Brooksville office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30-11 and 2:30-6. While we wait for everything to return to normal, here is some good information about why core strengthening is important (and many exercises can be done at home).

Core exercises strengthen your abs and other core muscles for better balance and stability.

Take time to start your day with gentle stretches.

One of the benefits of stretching in the morning is better posture. And you can say goodbye to a lot of little aches and pains if you devote the time.

Chiropractors have a reputation for helping people to get out of pain, but chiropractic has been used for more than that. The nervous system does not just supply the muscles and joints, but the entire body. We often see patients who have other symptoms, but they don't correlate it to their pain. This is why we look at the whole picture and treat the cause, not just the symptoms. We are currently running a free consultation special, just call 352-596-1900 in Brooksville or 727-869-7399 in Port Richey to schedule an appointment!
