Advanced Fire & Safety, LLC is currently seeking experienced candidates for Gulf of America project based HSE Advisor and Paramedic positions.
HSE Advisor Primary Role:
Our HSE Advisor's primary role is to work with our client's field personnel & third-party contractors to monitor HSE performance on location, provide guidance to contractors on client's HSE processes and procedures, and verify compliance with client's internal policies & procedures, and external regulatory requirements. While performing this role, the HSE Advisor will be under the supervision of the on-site client company representative with additional reporting requirements to the client project manager, client HSE representative, and Advanced Fire & Safety Operations Manager.
Paramedic Primary Role:
Our NREMT-Paramedic's primary role is ALS level emergency medical response and first-aid treatment if an injury or illness occurs on the project. While performing these tasks, the NREMT-Paramedic will be under direct supervision of the AFS Medical Directors and will be following written ALS Medical Protocols. With additional incident reporting requirements to the on-site client company representative, the client project manager, the client HSE representative, and Advanced Fire & Safety Operations Manager.
We currently need NREMT-Paramedic with experience working on the following project types:
Upstream Oil & Gas - Gulf of America Inland, Outer Continental Shelf & Deepwater Regions.

Dive Operations & Subsea Intervention
Construction
Well Workover
Painting & Blasting
Education Level:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Current BLS/ALS EMT-Paramedic Certification is a must.
Current Nationally Registered-Paramedic Certification is preferred.
Advanced education and/or Professional HSE Certifications are a plus.
Has obtained or is willing to obtain professional HSE & EMS certifications.
Current GOA Safety Training Certifications are a plus (E.g. SEMS II, Incipient Firefighting, Hazardous Material Shipping, Scaffolding Awareness, Marine Trash & Debris, Air Monitoring/Gas Detection, Water Survival with HUET & Personnel Transfer, IADC Rig Pass, Confined Space Entry/Attendant/Rescue, Qualified Rigger, Fall Protection with High Angle Rescue, etc.)
Minimum Job Knowledge Requirements and Critical Job Skills:
Minimum 5 years of onsite HSE-related work experience.
Minimum 5 years of onsite EMS-related work experience.
Prior work oil & gas project experience in the Gulf of Mexico is a must.
Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution and persuasion skills.
Strong critical thinking skills under pressure.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
Must pass a pre-hire DISA Drug & Alcohol Test & Physical
