Your cervix isn’t the only thing laboring… read that again!👈❤️

Somehow we’ve reduced birth to a number…
But birth is about so much more than cervical dilation.

Long before your cervix reaches 10 cm, your body is already doing remarkable work.

Your uterus is creating coordinated contractions that help your cervix thin, soften, and open. Your hormones are working behind the scenes. Your ligaments are becoming more flexible. Your baby is rotating, descending, and finding the best path through your pelvis.

Every one of those things is progress.

When we focus only on centimeters, it’s easy to believe your body “isn’t doing anything”

But that’s simply not true…

A cervical exam can only tell us one small piece of the story. It can’t measure your hormones. It can’t show your baby’s positioning. It can’t tell us how your uterus is working or how beautifully your body is preparing for birth.

Your body knows this process.

It has spent months growing your baby without you having to think about it. It knows how to labor, too.

Trust the process.
Trust your body.
Trust that progress isn’t always measured in centimeters.

Because birth has ✨NEVER✨ been just about your cervix!

It’s a full-body, beautifully coordinated process; and your body deserves more credit than a number on an exam!🤍
