๐Ÿ’œ **Introducing Our Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC)** ๐Ÿ’œ

Haywood County EMS is proud to announce **Elizabeth Crockett** as our **Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC)**!

Elizabeth is a **full-time Advanced EMT with Haywood County EMS** and is currently attending **Paramedic school**. As a Haywood County resident, she isn't just serving a communityโ€”she's serving **her community**.

Elizabeth also brings valuable pediatric experience from her time working in the **Emergency Department at Le Bonheur Childrenโ€™s Hospital**. She has a genuine love for children, and we believe she will thrive in this role.

As our PECC, Elizabeth will help ensure that our **youngest patients receive the same level of attention, preparedness, and high-quality emergency care as our adult patients**. Children aren't simply โ€œsmall adults,โ€ and being prepared for pediatric emergencies requires dedicated training, equipment, protocols, and education.

In this role, Elizabeth will:

๐Ÿ’œ Work closely with other **PECCs across Tennessee** to share ideas and best practices
๐Ÿš‘ Help strengthen and implement **pediatric-specific protocols and procedures**
๐Ÿฉบ Ensure our crews have the appropriate **pediatric equipment and resources**
๐Ÿ“š Promote continued **pediatric education and training** for our EMS personnel
๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ Lead community efforts focused on **pediatric emergency preparedness, education, and awareness**

This position is about much more than what happens inside an ambulance. We want Haywood County EMS to be a resource for **parents, schools, childcare providers, first responders, and most importantly, the children of our community**.

We're excited to see Elizabeth take ownership of this program and help us continue raising the standard of pediatric emergency care in Haywood County.

**Congratulations, Elizabeth! We know our little ones are in great hands. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿงธ**

๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš‘ CONGRATULATIONS, EUGENE ROOK! ๐Ÿš‘๐ŸŽ‰

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Eugene Rook, a member of our most recent Haywood County EMS EMR class that just wrapped up, on officially passing the National Registry Emergency Medical Responder (NREMT) exam today! ๐Ÿ‘

Eugene successfully completed and passed our EMR course alongside his classmates, and today he took the next big step by passing his National Registry examination. He can now move forward with obtaining his Tennessee EMR license!

Throughout the course, Eugene consistently showed up ready to learn, asked questions, put in the work, and studied outside of the classroom. Seeing that dedication pay off is exactly what we love about this program!

Every new EMR strengthens emergency response in our communities by putting trained help closer to the people who need it most.

Congratulations to our newest Nationally Registered EMR, Eugene Rook! Weโ€™re proud of you and excited to see where this next chapter takes you! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations, Renee Radcliff! ๐ŸŽ‰

We are proud to recognize Renee Radcliff for earning her EMT-Basic certification and successfully passing the National Registry! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’œ

Reneeโ€™s EMS journey started right here as a graduate of one of Haywood County EMSโ€™s EMR courses. As a Haywood County resident, she took that first step into emergency medicine and has continued working hard to advance her education and skills.

One of the reasons we invest in our EMR program is to grow EMS professionals right here at homeโ€”and Renee is a great example of exactly what that can accomplish.

Weโ€™re excited to have Renee continue growing her EMS career with Haywood County EMS and serving the community she calls home.

Congratulations, Renee! This is just the beginning! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿš‘ WELCOME TO HAYWOOD COUNTY EMS! ๐Ÿš‘

Please join us in welcoming Rodger McGee, Critical Care Paramedic, to the Haywood County EMS team!

Rodger brings 18 years of experience in EMS along with the advanced knowledge and skills that come with being a Critical Care Paramedic. He is excited to become part of our team, and we are even more excited to have him!

Adding another Critical Care Paramedic to our service further strengthens our ability to provide a higher level of care to the citizens and communities we serve.

Weโ€™re proud to have Rodger on board and look forward to the experience, knowledge, and dedication he will bring to Haywood County EMS.

Welcome to the team, Rodger! Weโ€™re glad youโ€™re here! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿค Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Yesterday, one of our neighboring counties was in need, and we were glad to lend a hand.

Haywood County EMS sent one ambulance to Hardeman County from 5 PM to 7 am to help cover their 911 calls during that time.

While we canโ€™t always assist with every request, when our resources and call volume allow, we will always do our best to help our neighboring services. Thatโ€™s what mutual aid is all aboutโ€”working together and being there for one another when the need arises.

We also want to thank Hardeman County Ambulance Service for being so welcoming and hospitable to our crew.

๐Ÿš‘ Neighbors helping neighbors. Different counties, same mission.

๐Ÿ’œ A Special Thank You from Haywood County EMS

We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Jud McCracken with CaribSea for his incredibly generous donation of the rock and sand for the new saltwater aquarium at our EMS station!

Our crews spend a lot of time at the station between calls, training, and taking care of the many responsibilities that come with serving our community. The aquarium has quickly become a great addition to the station and gives our personnel a peaceful place to slow down, relax, and decompress for a few minutes between calls.

In EMS, we never know what the next call will bring. Having something as simple and calming as watching the aquarium can make a meaningful difference during a long or difficult shift.

Jud, we are extremely grateful for your generosity and for helping us bring this aquarium to life. Your donation of the rock and sand provided the foundation for something our crews will be able to enjoy for years to come.

From all of us at Haywood County EMS, thank you for supporting our first responders and helping make our station feel a little more like home. ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’™

We truly appreciate Jud McCracken and everyone at CaribSea for their generosity and support!

Haywood Co. EMS had a great time at the Haywood Schools open house last night at the High School. Working together with Haywood County Fire and sheriff department as we always do. "The greatest return on investment comes from investing in our children and our communityโ€”because what we give today comes back stronger tomorrow."
