Fire work safety tips...

Stay Sober: Never light fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs .

Maintain Distance: Keep spectators at least 25 feet away and light fireworks on a flat, clear surface away from flammable materials .

Handle with Care: Never hold a lit firework in your hand or place any part of your body directly over it .

Never Relight Duds: If a firework fails to go off, wait 20 minutes before soaking it in a bucket of water .

Watch Sparklers: Sparklers burn at a searing 2000°F, making them highly dangerous; never let young children handle them

Brownsville Ambulance Service, Inc. is proud to recognize our EMS Cadets for successfully completing the EMS Cadet Program.

Throughout the program, these exceptional students demonstrated dedication, professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to serving others. They devoted six days to learning emergency medical services, developing leadership skills, and participating in community service activities that positively impacted those around them.

Completing this program is a significant accomplishment and reflects the hard work, perseverance, and character each cadet displayed along the way. We are proud of their achievements and grateful for the positive example they have set for their peers and our community.

Shout out to Ryan Neil and Alex Mooers from California Area School District School who successfully completed our EMS Cadet Program.

Over the course of the program, these young men demonstrated dedication, professionalism, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to serving others. They devoted six days to learning the fundamentals of emergency medical services and learning how to support community events and public safety initiatives.

Their willingness to serve their community, develop new skills, and step outside their comfort zones is a testament to their character and leadership. The future of emergency services is brighter because of young people like these cadets who have chosen to make a difference.

Today, our EMS Cadets participated in a realistic Multi-Casualty Incident (MCI) Training Exercise, working side-by-side with our EMS, Fire, and Police professionals.

This hands-on exercise gave our cadets the opportunity to experience how emergency responders work together during large-scale incidents. They practiced patient triage, communication, scene management, teamwork, and coordinated emergency response in a fast-paced, realistic environment.

Training like this prepares the next generation of first responders by building confidence, leadership, and critical thinking skills while emphasizing the importance of collaboration between EMS. Fire, and Police.

A huge thank you to all of our EMS, Fire, and Police personnel, volunteers, victims, and instructors who dedicated their time to making this exercise a success. Your mentorship and commitment help shape the future of emergency services.

We are incredibly proud of our cadets for their professionalism, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. The future of emergency response is in good hands!
