Parent data is an important part of ABA therapy because it provides valuable information about a child's behavior and skill use outside of therapy sessions. It helps the BCBA determine whether skills are generalizing to everyday environments, identify behavior patterns, and make data-based treatment decisions. Parent involvement also promotes consistency across settings, leading to better outcomes and increased independence for the child.
