A huge thank you to Alpha Omega Hospice for throwing the most wonderful birthday celebration for our very own Rea Rogers — who just turned 105½! 🎉🎂

What an extraordinary life this remarkable woman has lived! Rea has hand-quilted over 50 beautiful quilts throughout her lifetime, and we are so honored to display a different one each month here at the Chatfield. Each one is a true work of art and a testament to her talent and dedication.

Just think about everything Rea has witnessed in 105½ years — the world has changed in ways most of us can barely imagine, and she has lived through every moment of it with grace.

We enjoyed delicious smoked burgers with all the trimmings for lunch today! Our fresh vegetables, Texas-grown cantaloupe, watermelon and strawberries enjoyed today -- all locally sourced from Brownwood 's very own Sliger’s Market!

Today is Nurses Appreciation Day, kicking off Nurses Week!

Meet our 5-foot-4 wonder, Eva Alexander, LVN and Director of Nurses—fueled by white chocolate, ice cream, Uncrustables, and Dr Pepper… probably because she’s 7 feet tall on the inside.
