WHAT IF COUPLES THERAPY DIDN’T FEEL SO ONE-SIDED?

So you're used to having one therapist in the room. But what if couples' therapy could look a little different?

Two people.
Two different walks of life.
Two perspectives.

Because when two people bring two different experiences into the room, two therapeutic perspectives can change the conversation.

A male therapist.
A female therapist.
Two professional perspectives working together to see the patterns, hear both sides, and help you understand what keeps happening between you.

It’s an approach to couples therapy Brownwood hasn’t seen in a long time, if ever, and we’re excited to bring it to our community.

This isn’t about choosing sides.

It’s about helping BOTH of you feel heard while challenging the patterns that are hurting your relationship.

If you’ve tried talking it out…
If you keep having the same fight…
If one of you is afraid therapy will turn into being blamed…

Try couples therapy differently.

Two of us. One relationship. One goal:

Helping you find your way back to each other.

What are you getting from staying in contact with that person?
Are you finding peace—or reopening old wounds?
Is the relationship helping you grow, or keeping you stuck?
What would change if you gave yourself the space to heal?

Hi it's me Kashaena!

I believe strong marriages don't happen by accident, they're built with intention.

I, myself have made mistakes in the past and through those mistakes I learned a valuable lesson.

Whether you're preparing to say "I do" or you've been married for years, investing in your relationship is one of the best gifts you can give each other.

At RCL Counseling, we offer premarital and marriage counseling services to help couples strengthen communication, resolve conflict, deepen emotional connection, and build a healthy foundation for the future.

I'm a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, using one of the most trusted relationship assessment tools to help couples identify strengths, navigate challenges, and grow together.

Ready to invest in your relationship? Call or text to schedule an appointment. ❤️

This is a heartbreaking example of how one person's abusive actions can have lasting effects on an entire family.

Narcissistic abuse doesn't always end when the relationship does. Sometimes, it continues through manipulation, lies, guilt, and fear, even affecting the relationship between a parent and their children. If you've experienced parental alienation or have watched your children become caught in that cycle, I want you to know that your pain is real.

As a therapist, I specialize in helping survivors of narcissistic abuse. This isn't just another issue I treat, it's an area I'm deeply passionate about because I've lived it and I know healing is possible.

At RCL Counseling, you'll find a safe, supportive space to process what you've been through, rebuild your confidence, establish healthy boundaries, and begin moving forward.

I'm also considering starting a group counseling program for narcissistic abuse survivors where people can connect with others who truly understand this unique kind of trauma.

If this story resonates with you, or if you'd be interested, please reach out. Call or text us to learn more.

💙 The abuse may have shaped part of your story, but it doesn't have to define the rest of it.

✨ **11 Things Learned After Leaving a Narcissistic Abusive Relationship** ✨
If you’ve ever felt completely stuck, constantly questioned your own reality, or found yourself saying "I'm sorry" for absolutely everything, please know this: **it is not your fault.**
Watching these videos is a powerful reminder of what survival and rebuilding actually look like after 17 years of manipulation. It takes an incredible amount of strength to recognize the lasting effects of narcissistic abuse—especially when you realize they likely learned that toxic behavior directly from a parent, and then try to train the children to act the same way, even when every single sign shows they are completely wrong.
The manipulation is designed to train you to believe that nothing better exists out there for you, and surviving the chaos can leave you feeling completely drained. But the rock-bottom moments, whether you're navigating an abusive cycle or surviving a drunk, are *not* as good as life gets.
Rebuilding from the ground up isn't easy, and it might make you a little guarded at first, but a brighter, healthier chapter is absolutely possible.
If you are ready to break free from the cycle, start trusting yourself again, and begin your own healing journey, let’s talk. You don't have to navigate this path alone. Watch for tips and support on tiktok link below.

💙 BIG NEWS FROM RCL COUNSELING! 💙

Starting TODAY, we're excited to offer Co-Couples Counseling!

Instead of meeting with just one therapist, couples now have the opportunity to work with two counselors in the room together—Robert Lehman, LPCA and Kashaena Garcia, LPCA.

One of the biggest concerns we hear from couples is:
"What if the therapist takes my partner's side?"

Our Co-Couples Counseling model helps reduce that fear by bringing both a male and female clinical perspective into the session. Having two counselors creates a more balanced environment where each partner has the opportunity to feel heard, understood, and supported. The focus isn't on deciding who is right or wrong—it's about helping your relationship grow.

Benefits of Co-Couples Counseling include:
❤️ Two professional perspectives working together.
🗣️ Better communication and conflict resolution.
🤝 A balanced therapeutic environment where both partners feel valued.
🌱 More tools, more insight, and more support to help your relationship succeed.

Whether you're working through communication challenges, rebuilding trust, navigating life transitions, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship, we're here to help.

📅 Co-Couples Counseling is available NOW!

Visit www.RCLCounseling.com to request an appointment or contact us to learn more.

Because healthy relationships aren't built by taking sides—they're built by understanding each other.
