Our July 2026 Whatever It Takes Champion is Mrs. Desiree "Desi" Vaughn. 🎉

💪 Desi is a COTA in our Therapy department and has been a valuable member of our team for the last 9 years. Though she currently serves as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, she served in our Activities Department for years, only leaving her Activities role due to the recent need of her skillset in therapy. What makes Desi a stand-out employee is that while she is now one of our therapists, she still donates a portion of her free time each week to maintain a Bible Study group she began when she was in Activities. ✝️

"Not only do the residents enjoy the Bible Study, but it is also rewarding for me," Desi shared. "We have deep conversations and grow in our faith together each week." ❤️

On July 18, our residents were invited to attend a celebration in honor of America's 250 anniversary. 🇺🇸 The festivities took place on the court square in Huntingdon, TN, and included a bike parade, hot dog eating contest, speeches/proclamations from many of Carroll County's elected officials, and an apple pie contest. We even had the opportunity to meet local weather man Moe Shamell and grab a picture with the Mayor of the Carroll County, Joseph Butler. The town made sure we were well taken care of by providing cooling fans, water, and shade. We had a great time! ⭐

🗣️ Life Care Center of Bruceton is excited to welcome Miss Abby Stokes, M.S., CF-SLP as our newest addition to our Therapy department. 👋

Miss Stokes was born and raised in Huntingdon, TN, where she graduated from Huntingdon High School in 2020. She went on to attend college at Murray State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2024 then graduated with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2026. 🎓

Abby attends church at First Baptist Church in Huntingdon and enjoys baking and spoiling her dog Suzie! Welcome to the team, Abby! ❤️

📣 We are pleased to announce that Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock has earned the 2026 Bronze National Quality Award from American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living!

🏆 The National Quality Award Program is a rigorous 3-level process in which organizations are reviewed and evaluated by trained experts. Bronze is the beginning level.

👸 We were honored to have Miss Humbolt Iris Teen Volunteer 2026 Kylee French sponsor and host a Miss Forever Fabulous Pageant here at Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock!

🩷 We had 11 beautiful contestants who were escorted onto the stage by our crew of 4 ushers. Thank you to every associate and family member who donated dresses and/or assisted with makeup, hair, and overall production of the event!
