Looking forward to see what comes out of this initiative!
The World Health Organization (WHO) Global Traditional Medicine Centre has launched a new working paper series to document traditional, complementary and integrative medicine (TIM) through evidence-informed, descriptive analyses. The series aims to provide a foundation for dialogue on education, professional practice, regulation, health-system integration and research.
The first publication, 'Cupping therapy: descriptive synthesis of training,' offers a first-of-its-kind overview of reported training approaches for cupping therapy, drawing primarily on Traditional Chinese Medicine perspectives and a systematic scoping review of available evidence.
Upcoming papers will explore training and practice across chiropractic, Siddha, Taijiquan, Nuad Thai and Traditional Chinese Medicine, helping strengthen the global evidence base for traditional medicine.
