The Carnegie Historic Center in Bryan Tx was one of 32 Carnegie Libraries built in Texas from 1898 - 1915. The Bryan location is oldest of 13 still standing today. Only 4 still operate as Libraries, Ballinger, Jefferson, Stamford, and Franklin Tx. The remaining Libraries have been repurposed as Museums and Historical Centers.

The "Secret" to Kyle Field: Many don't realize that the land for Texas A&M’s famous Kyle Field was donated in 1904 by Edwin Kyle. You can actually grab a latte in his original home today, which now houses Polite Coffee Roasters in downtown Bryan.

Bryan was once the coolest place in the west Literally. The Queen Theatre in Downtown Bryan was the FIRST indoor movie theater west of the Mississippi to have air conditioning. Before that, seeing a movie in a Texas summer was basically a competitive sweating sport.
