☀️At your 36 week home visit we bring the birth tub, supplies and postpartum folder to your home . We do a home tour, have your appointment on the comfort of your couch, and talk about all the things you can expect, what’s normal, what’s not normal, when to call, how to rest in early labor, and how to set up the birth tub 😄 it’s so fun!!
‼️ as a reminder all of your birth tub and supplies are included in your package price so other than having a few things at your house that you probably already have like towels and sheets or a digital thermometer, we bring all the things 🙌 preparing you in your third trimester as you enter into nesting and labor prep is absolutely vital🧡🧡🧡 I love that we have the time and space to do that education and to come into your home- your safe space☀️ can’t wait to support you as you bring your baby into your arms!!! love yall!

‼️I know, I know. You’ve been waiting 40 weeks for this exact moment. You feel that first real, undeniable wave, and your brain instantly screams: “IT’S TIME! Let’s pace the hallways, bounce on the birth ball, and text the group chat!”
As your midwife, I am gently, lovingly telling you: Please, go back to sleep. 😴
☀️my best advice is: Ignore it for as long as possible.
~Why Rest is Your Secret Weapon
Early labor is just the warm-up, not the main event. If you spend all your energy in the opening act, you risk running on empty when it’s actually time to push.
Save Your Fuel: Labor is a marathon. Conserve your physical and mental stamina now.
Boost Oxytocin: Excitement triggers adrenaline, which can stall labor. Staying cozy, dark, and rested keeps your natural labor hormones flowing.
🧡The Golden Rule: Don’t go out to meet the labor. Let the labor come to meet you.🧡

Happy Mother’s Day 🌻 What a joy to have a perfect healthy delivery right after midnight this morning! This little boy was much anticipated as he cooked for longer than any of his siblings had 😊 There is so much surrender to birth and motherhood that mothers do!

☀️What an amazing day of hands on learning for Breech birth! So much knowledge shared. So much opportunity to practice scenarios and simulations! Midwife Megan and Student Midwife Kristyn are coming back refreshed, and with more tools in our ‘toolbox’ to serve mamas and babies in the West Valley🧡
