💙 A small act of kindness can make a big difference.

A special thank you to Cub Scout Axl Shipley, who recently put together candy bags for patients in our Infusion Center. But Axl didn’t stop there - he also handwrote a note of encouragement to accompany each bag, offering a little extra kindness and support to those receiving care.

Axl has a special connection to St. Joseph’s, as his grandmother, Renae Carr, RN, is a member of our Infusion Center team.

We are so grateful to Axl for thinking of our patients and taking the time to brighten their day. Acts of kindness like this mean more than you know! 💛

We had a wonderful time at the Bobcat Fair at West Virginia Wesleyan College this past Saturday! It was a great opportunity to welcome students back to campus, meet new faces, and connect with members of the WVWC community.

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is fortunate to be part of such a vibrant college community, and we always enjoy spending time with our friends and neighbors at WVWC.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit with us. We hope all of the Bobcats have a fantastic year ahead! 🐾

💙💛 Stronger Together

Thank you to everyone who joined us Friday at The Daily Grind for our Stronger Together event, marking one month since the July 21 flood that impacted so many throughout our community.

The event was an opportunity to come together and, most importantly, to say thank you to the incredible volunteers who stepped up in the days and weeks following the flood. From cleanup and recovery efforts to providing meals, supplies, resources and support, countless individuals and organizations have given their time to help our neighbors when they needed it most.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, to The Daily Grind for helping us host this special gathering, and to every volunteer who has played a part in our community’s recovery.
