Helen Ruth Ours Malcomb, age 82, of Buckhannon, died at her home on Saturday, August 1, 2026. She was born on August 17, 1943, in Elizabeth City, VA., a daughter of the late Jackson Hugh and Clara M. Crites Ours. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Junior David Malcomb; one son, Kenneth David Malcomb; one grandson, Nathan Scott George; one brother, James Ours; two infant sisters; one daughter-in-law, Penny Malcomb.
She is survived by her children: Sandra G. George and Eric of Buckhannon, Judith A. Cutright and Bob of Buckhannon, Timothy W. Malcomb and Crystal of Elkins, Jeffrey C. Malcomb of Buckhannon, Linda K. Williams of Norton, WV and daughter-in-law, Terry Tenney of Buckhannon; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Jack Ours of Buckhannon, Richard Ours of Petersburg, WV, John Ours, Butch Ours, Geri Trinkle, Carol Corley, Karen Hinchman all of Buckhannon, Patty Gower of Canal Fulton, OH; several nieces and nephews.
Helen was retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital with thirty years of service in Housekeeping. She was a Christian by Faith and a former member of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church.
The family has honored her wishes for cremation, and a private family service will be held at a later date.

David Lee Snyder, age 60, of French Creek, died on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center in Elkins. He was born on November 3, 1965, in Elkins a son of Frank Elroy Snyder, Sr., of Junior, WV and the late Janet Lee Glendenning Snyder. He is survived by one son, Dakota Snyder of French Creek; two daughters: Liberty Snyder and husband Austin Metz of Morgantown, WV and Korri Snyder of Morgantown, WV; one brother, Frank Snyder, Jr. and wife Patti of Junior, WV; two sisters: Judith K. Brady and husband Richard of Junior, WV and Cynthia Snyder of Junior, WV; nieces and nephew; Sarah and Emily Snyder, Danielle and DJ Brookins, Jennifer Elswick.
David was currently employed by Armstrong AHF in Beverly, WV, where he had been employed for the past twenty-two years. He enjoyed doing carpentry work.
The family has honored his wishes for cremation. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM-2:00PM at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon.

Linda Kay Tenney, age 72, of Tallmansville, died on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Crestview Manor Healthcare Center in Jane Lew. She was born March 9, 1954, in Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Dale Wilson and Winifred Dell Currence Armstrong. She is survived by her husband William Bonnie Tenney. Also surviving are one daughter, Amy Sears and husband Andy of Buckhannon; one son, William Dale Tenney and wife Andrea of Tallmansville; five grandchildren: Brett Sears and wife Alexis, Amberlyn Sears, Hunter Tenney, Aiden Tenney and Tanner Tenney; two great grandchildren: Nolan and Kylah Sears; two brothers: Larry Armstrong and wife Barbara of Ohio and Thomas Armstrong and wife Jane of Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
Linda was a former employee of K-Mart in Elkins and also was a former employee of Wal-Mart in Buckhannon in the sporting goods department. She loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing. She also loved to sew and cook.
Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 4-8 PM. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Lanham Cemetery in Queens.

Monna Darlene Young, age 80, of the Alexander Road, French Creek, died Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born on July 10, 1946, in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Helen F. Arnold Long and stepfather Richard Long. On February 28, 1989, she was united in marriage to John B. Young who survives. Also surviving are one stepdaughter Sherry and husband Jonathan of French Creek; “kids by choice” David and wife Kavy Kelley of Buckhannon; one brother Ronald Richard Long of Cumberland; three sisters: Shelley Irene Long of Arizona, Clara Jean Long-DeVore of Tampa, FL, and Melinda Sue Long of Cumberland; special friends Rick and Christy Fox of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one stepson Johnny Young.

Monna was retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital as a housekeeper and was an “auction fanatic.” She attended the Bethlehem Community Church.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9-11:00 AM, at which time a funeral service will begin with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
