Crawford County Mentors

Crawford County Mentors One year. Four hours a month. A lifetime of impact. The program asks for just one year of commitment, with a minimum of four hours per month spent with a mentee.

The Crawford County Mentors program began as an idea in 2022, when longtime friends, Matt Crall and Jamey Gregory, recognized the need for a structured youth mentorship initiative in the area. With support from the Crawford-Marion ADAMH Board, The Community Foundation for Crawford County, and The Galion Community Foundation, Crawford County Mentors officially launched in May of 2025 when the Board

of Directors convened for the very first time. Crawford County Mentors is built on a simple but powerful belief: when adults invest consistent time in the lives of young people, the benefits ripple outward—impacting not only the youth, but families, neighborhoods, and the county as a whole. Our outreach aims to connect caring, dependable adults with local youth in grades 6–12, fostering positive relationships that strengthen the entire community. Flexible meeting options include after-school, evening, weekend, or school-day sessions.

What an awesome afternoon! Crawford County Mentors was invited to help with some activities at Avita's Healing Hearts Kids Camp on July 31st.

Miss Rock n Roll City's, Shelby Cumston, who is a Miss Ohio contestant and Abby Gregory, who was working towards a mission trip, resarched and planned out the activities. Shelby organized and helped with the kiddos at camp.

It was so much fun helping the campers and seeing them come up with very creative sock puppets and pet rocks. The best part was knowing we could be part of healing hearts!!

One last hooray before school starts!!

Summer is almost over, so let's send it off the right way!

Join us for our Back to School Bash at Buckeye Imagination Museum for one last evening of fun before the school year begins. Bring the family to enjoy music, crafts, outdoor games, and full access to explore and play throughout the museum. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase.
