Saw this on Pinterest & had to recreate using the Korean skincare products I use in the treatment room and of course had to feature .raldcoffeeco delicious latte 😋

I call this the “Pigment Pick Me Up” featuring products that help target hyperpigmentation:

• Thesera Mela Touch On Cream- formulated with six vitamins and a naturally derived PHA to block melanin production, neutralize the oxidative damage that triggers it, and resurface the skin that’s already been affected.

• Krx Mela Defense Cream- to brighten and balance skin tone, reduce pigmentation by suppressing overactive melanin, and promote deep healing below the skin’s surface.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! But especially to these 3 women: my mom, my sister and my suegra. My mom is my #1 supporter, and is the epitome of all things beauty. She loves skincare, makeup, hair, nails, all of it, and is the inspiration and motivation behind sol and skin. My sister has always been a mother figure to me, always taking care & looking out for me. My suegra has only sons, but she loves and treats me as her own & wants only the best for me.

I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without these women in my life. Happy Mother’s Day to all ❤️💐

Carboxy Therapy with Korean Skincare 🫧

One word I would use to describe the sensation of this treatment is: stingle. The “stingle” clients feel is a chemical reaction called the Bohr effect, triggering concentrated oxygen to release within the skin.

Oxygen is essential for cell renewal and healing. Carboxy therapy boosts circulation, refines texture, brightens, and diminishes fine lines/wrinkles, leaving the skin healthier and more radiant.

The “stingle” only lasts as the sheet mask is placed on top of the gel applied beforehand. The feeling dissipates within seconds! I just like to warn people beforehand because it can be a little jarring 🫣 but the skin is so radiant and renewed! I love this for all clients but especially the ones who want a little pick me up, that radiant glow back into their skin.

Finally getting around to posting some clips from last weekends training with 😍

Also!! If you haven’t noticed the username change, I’m no longer going by “Skin By Yami” but my new business name: Sol and Skin ☀️ I announced the name change a few weeks ago but with my birthday, moving to a new apartment, the training, I couldn’t get around to changing the socials yet, but better late than never!

What started with no plan, no clients, and just a leap of faith… has turned into something I’m so proud of.

This facial is centered around slow, intentional hair brushing and scalp work to activate deep relaxation responses. We begin with a double cleanse to refresh the skin, followed by slow, rhythmic hair brushing and a deeply soothing scalp massage. A customized mask and facial massage enhance circulation and relaxation before finishing with tailored serums and moisturizer.

If you love ASMR, hair play videos, or that “tingly” feeling on your scalp, this is for you! This facial is very sensory focused, but it won’t be 100% silent ASMR. I am located inside a working salon so there may be background noise such as conversations, hair dryers, or doors opening and closing. If you’re okay with a little real world ambiance, you’ll still melt into relaxation 🤍
