π Joshua Clark β 2026 SAARA Peer of the Year! π
We are overjoyed to announce that our very own Joshua Clark, Substance Use Director at Rockbridge Recovery, has been named the 2026 SAARA Peer of the Year β a statewide honor recognizing the individual who best demonstrates extraordinary leadership, dedication, and impact in the field of addiction and recovery.
Joshua's story is the heart of why this work matters. His journey β from incarceration, to Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, to Substance Use Director β is living proof that recovery transforms lives, families, and entire communities.
Under his leadership, Rockbridge Recovery has expanded vital services for justice-involved individuals working to rebuild their lives, and launched mentorship opportunities for young people facing substance use challenges. He meets people where they are, walks alongside them, and shows them what's possible.
In his own words:
"Recovery is about more than sobriety β it's about rebuilding purpose, connection, and hope. This recognition reflects the strength of our entire community and the people we serve."
Lori Turner, Administrator at Rockbridge Recovery, shared:
"Joshua is the real deal. He doesn't just talk about recovery β he lives it, breathes it, and pours himself into every single person who walks through our doors. I have watched him sit with people on their hardest days, advocate for them when no one else would, and celebrate their wins like they were his own. He leads with humility, heart, and a kind of hope that's contagious. Joshua has transformed not only the lives of the individuals he serves, but the entire culture of recovery in our region. He is a mentor, a leader, and a light β and there is no one more deserving of this honor. We are beyond proud to call him ours."
Please join us in congratulating Joshua on this incredible achievement. This honor belongs to him, to every person he has walked with on the road to recovery, and to a community that believes no one is beyond hope.
