Health update: Went in for follow up labs after a month on prescription iron supplements. If my ferritin has gone up I’ll continue on them, if not it’s time for iron infusions. When I was done with school I planned on taking the winter off. I didn’t realize my body was running on fumes. So life has slowed down a little longer than I planned, but if I learned anything living with chronic illness it’s that I’m nothing if not resilient. It turns out my body has been running on fumes for YEARS, and in that time I’ve accomplished so much. So once my iron/ferritin levels are optimal (something I’m not sure they’ve really ever been in my adult life) I can only imagine what I’ll be capable of.
