I will never forget walking back to the tent during Sunday’s storm in Buffalo. The wind was so violent my raincoat was flying off me and covering my face, and the rain felt like it was coming down in buckets. But the part that broke my heart the most was seeing JUICEY QUARTZ and so many other vendors with their products all over the ground. It was such a painful moment to witness, and it reminded me how quickly everything can change.

Dear Juneteenth of Buffalo Festival

I am writing as a vendor to thank you for hosting such a wonderful 50-year anniversary celebration. Saturday was a great day for us, and we truly appreciated being part of the event.

Unfortunately, Sunday’s storm created a very difficult situation. Not only did many of us lose product and equipment, but some vendors also suffered minor injuries. It was a hard day for a lot of us, and the impact was significant.

With that in mind, I kindly ask that you consider providing a make-up day for the vendors who were affected. We would all greatly appreciate the opportunity to come back out on a nice, sunny day and sell our products again.


Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for hosting such a meaningful celebration. We still want to celebrate with you.

Sunday’s day’s storm in Buffalo was something I’ll never forget. Walking back through it felt unreal, like the wind and rain were hitting from every direction and everything around me was moving so fast. It was scary, cold, and overwhelming, but in that moment I was just focused on getting back safe. Buffalo weather really reminds you how powerful nature can be. I was saddened to see Juicey Quartz Juice Bar products and other vendors products on the ground.
