Stellis Health Neighbors Caring for Neighbors With 2 Convenient Locations:
Buffalo and Monticello, MN As our community has grown, so have we. That's our promise to you.

Like a trusted friend and neighbor, we have been taking care of the Buffalo and the surrounding communities since 1951. In 1979, we moved to our present facility on Highway 25 to provide our patients with expanded services and more doctors. Because we believe community health care has no boundaries, we also opened clinics in nearby Monticello and Albertville – St. Michael to take care of the growing population in these areas and provide personalized care, not just when you need it but where you need it. Today, we are poised to continue our commitment to take care of you — by providing the most up-to-date primary and specialty health care services available. To deliver those services, we are fortunate to have some of the most outstanding and dedicated physicians, nurses and other professionals available. That's why you can always count on us to be here when you need us. Just as we have for the last 70-plus years.

If you've ever thought "I don't want to be a burden" before reaching out for help, this is for you.

That thought, right there, is one of the most common barriers that keeps people from getting support. And it's one of the most painful lies anxiety and depression tell us.

Here's the truth: the people who love you would rather get a call at 2am than get a call they never expected.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month. We're not just posting about it. We're saying it plainly: if you're struggling, please reach out.

Tom Hawkins, MHPrac, and our mental health team are here. So is the 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988, available 24/7).

You are not a burden. You are someone worth fighting for.

Call 763-682-1313 or visit stellishealth.com to connect with our mental health team.

Falls are the leading cause of injury for adults over 65. But here's what most people don't know: they're largely preventable.

And prevention doesn't mean wrapping yourself in bubble wrap. It means a few smart habits and one honest conversation with your provider.

Here's what actually helps:

- Strength and balance exercises (ask us about a referral to physical therapy)
- A medication review (some medications affect balance more than people realize)
- Getting your vision checked
- Removing trip hazards at home (rugs, poor lighting, cluttered pathways)
- Wearing supportive footwear, even indoors

Fall Prevention Awareness Week is late September, and this is the kind of thing worth talking about before something happens, not after.

Our providers in Buffalo and Monticello can help you build a prevention plan. Call 763-682-1313 or visit stellishealth.com.

Your body knows more than you think.

Breastfeeding comes with a lot of noise, myths, and unsolicited advice. But here's what actually matters: trusting your body, feeling confident in how you're nourishing your baby, and knowing the signs that tell you it's time to reach out for help.

In this podcast episode, we're busting common breastfeeding myths and talking about what to watch for when it comes to mastitis, so you know exactly when to call your provider.

Ever wonder what's actually happening when a clogged duct shows up? It's not just a milk traffic jam.

Dr. Latteman explains it like this: when breasts get overfull, milk can leak into the surrounding tissue. That triggers inflammation, inflammation causes swelling, and that swelling squeezes the ducts from the outside in. Because the duct is flexible (like a soft garden hose being pinched shut), the milk simply can't get through. That's the clog.

Knowing the "why" puts you in control. Rest, gentle feeding, and reducing inflammation are where you start, not fear.

Expectations vs. Reality.

Expectation: A colorful, beautifully arranged salad with grilled chicken, quinoa, and a lemon vinaigrette.

Reality: Three handfuls of Goldfish in the car between school pickup and practice.

One meal doesn't define your health. Tomorrow is another chance.

(And if you want to talk about nutrition without the guilt, our team is here for that too.)

For years, knee replacement had a reputation as one of the most painful, longest recoveries in orthopedic surgery.

Here's the thing: that reputation is outdated.

With the Jiffy Knee method, over 90% of our patients aren't taking any narcotics after surgery. They're ditching the cane or walker faster. Moving better, right away. And saying things like, "I wish I'd done this years ago."

The reason? No cutting through muscle. Less trauma to the tissue. A faster, smoother recovery that gets you back to the things you love, whether that's keeping up with grandkids, getting back on the golf course, or just walking without pain.

If knee pain has been slowing you down, or you've been putting off surgery because you're dreading the recovery, it's worth a conversation.

Listen to the podcast, call 763-682-1313 or visit stellishealth.com to learn more about Jiffy Knee at Stellis Health.
