National Ma*****na Facts Week (July 4th-10th) raises awareness about the risks of high-THC ma*****na. Did you know THC levels can now reach 70%-90%, compared to 4% in the 1980s? This increase poses serious risks, especially for young users.

Dabbing high-potency cannabis concentrates can lead to serious negative health and mental health impacts such as anxiety, psychosis, and long-term mental health effects, especially for youth.

✔️Approximately 3 in 10 people who use cannabis have cannabis use disorder.

✔️The risk of developing cannabis use disorder is greater in people who start using cannabis during youth or adolescence and who use cannabis more frequently.

"In this cohort study of 463,396 adolescents followed up through age 25 years, past-year cannabis use was associated with an increased risk of incident psychotic, bipolar, depressive, and anxiety disorders. The strongest associations were found for psychotic and bipolar disorders, which is consistent with prior research suggesting that cannabis use during adolescence may be an especially strong risk factor for severe psychiatric outcomes."
