Some of the best views in Buffalo don't require a ticket.

They simply require a chair and a little Wyoming sunshine.

The patio at the Amie Holt Care Center overlooks the Buffalo Golf Course and serves as a gathering place for residents, families, and staff throughout the summer.

It's where weekly BBQs are shared.
Where grandchildren visit.
Where stories are told.
Where ordinary moments become cherished memories.

Through WYO Gives, we're hoping to expand this outdoor space so even more residents and families can enjoy time together.

Home to up to 40 residents, the Amie Holt Care Center is more than a facility—it's home.

As part of our "For Buffalo. From Buffalo." campaign, we're featuring local photographers who help tell the story of our community through their lens.

Nine future babysitters spent their Saturday learning the skills and confidence needed to care for children safely and responsibly at our Babysitters Club course!

Participants ages 10–13 learned about child development, diapering, feeding, basic first aid, CPR awareness, and safety. A special thank you to #1 School Nurse Ashley Hunkins and the Buffalo Police Department - Wyoming for sharing their expertise helping make the day a success.

Each participant completed the course and received a certificate and babysitting starter kit to begin their babysitting journey.

Congratulations to all of our graduates—we can’t wait to see the positive impact you’ll make in our community!

A simple outing can mean everything.

Lunch with family.

A community event.

A scenic drive through Johnson County.

For many long-term care residents, transportation challenges can make these experiences difficult or impossible.

One of the projects supported through this year's WYO Gives campaign is the purchase of a wheelchair-accessible van, helping residents stay connected to the community they love.

Because quality of life isn't just about where you live.

It's about the places you can still go.

As part of our "For Buffalo. From Buffalo." campaign, we're proud to showcase the work of local photographers whose images remind us why this community is worth investing in.

For the first time ever, Johnson County Healthcare Center Foundation is participating in WYO Gives, Wyoming's statewide day of giving.

On July 15, people across Wyoming will come together to support the nonprofits and organizations that strengthen their communities.

This year, every dollar raised through JCHC Foundation will support improvements at the Amie Holt Care Center, helping enhance quality of life for the residents who call it home.

Thanks to generous community supporters, the first $15,000 donated will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact from the start.

Over the next six weeks, we'll introduce the projects your donations will help make possible and share stories from the residents, families, and staff who make Amie Holt such a special place.

FOR BUFFALO. FROM BUFFALO.

Hospital Week wrapped up with full hearts, full stomachs, and a whole lot of appreciation for the incredible people who make JCHC what it is. 💙

This week, our team gathered for a Lunch + Learn with Kate Norman focused on stress management techniques for healthcare workers — paired with a spaghetti lunch and time to connect, recharge, and laugh together. 🍝✨

We also loved Thursday morning’s Senior Leadership Breakfast, where leaders mixed and mingled with staff while everyone enjoyed biscuits & gravy and fruit parfaits. 🥣☀️

Healthcare is hard work, and this week was a reminder of how important it is to pause, celebrate one another, and invest in the well-being of the people who care for our community every single day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Hospital Week such a success — and thank you to our incredible staff for all you do. 💙

Mental Health Awareness Month is a great time to remind yourself that mental health is an important part of overall health at every stage of life. Feelings like sadness, worry, or loneliness are not just something to “push through” with age. They deserve attention and care, just like any physical concern.

Johnson County Healthcare Center's Senior Life Solutions supports older adults with group therapy, individual counseling, and personalized care designed to meet them where they are. If you or someone you love needs support, we are here to help.
