September is Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month.
For some, this month may feel especially personal. It may bring up grief, worry, difficult memories or concern for someone you love. So as we recognize Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month, we want to begin with something simple:
You matter. You belong here. And you deserve support.
Throughout September, we’ll be sharing ways we can better support ourselves and one another—how to start a conversation, how to listen, what to do when you’re concerned about someone, and where to turn when more help is needed.
You don’t need to have all the answers to show up for someone. Sometimes it starts with checking in, listening without judgment, and reminding the people in our lives that they don’t have to face hard things alone.
Hope starts with us. 💜🩵
If you or someone you know needs immediate support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If there is an immediate danger, call 911 or come to the JCHC Emergency Department, open 24/7.
