“𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝.”

“Made up disorder.”
“Generation of pansies.”
“People give up too easily.”

Those are the actual words trolls threw at one of my posts when I explained that forcing a child into school is trauma.

And let me set the record straight:

If you 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 think forcing a child through trauma is “strength” - you’re wrong.

If you think dismissing disability as “psycho-babble” makes it vanish - you’re wrong.

If you think parents should be shamed into compliance then guess what - you’re wrong.

What these comments really show is how much ignorance is still out there. And why voices like ours are needed more than ever.

Because here’s the truth:

Children don’t thrive through force.
Parents don’t learn through blame.
And no - compassion doesn’t create weakness. It creates safety.

If you’ve heard any of these lines aimed at you, drop a ❤️ below - let’s flood this space with lived experience louder than the trolls.

And for parents and professionals who want support for students struggling with emotionally-based school avoidance then please drop the word EBSA below and I will send you a sign up link to some FREE DOWNLOADS.

It's ok if your kiddo gets his special things as Christmas presents. Sweet tea, a box of glass wipes for cleaning his electronics, and of course all things turtle. It might not look like everyone else, and that's ok..
