George Wilford Watson, age 84, of Buffalo, Missouri, formally of Mobile, Alabama, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side.

George was born on May 8, 1942, in Semmes, Alabama, to the late Homer and Cornelia (Lott) Watson.
George was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Rosie, a brother Johnny and a granddaughter Paige.
George and Iris June were united in marriage on April 29, 2000.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Iris June, a sister Gwyn, stepsons Russell (Kim), Brad (Shannon), grandkids Brook (Tyler), Brady (Alice), Nick, Ben, eight great-grandkids many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

An Alabama native, Watson enlisted in February 1961 and, after spending the next seven months in basic training and crypto school, he was assigned to Kadena AFB, Okinawa. While stationed in Japan he also successfully climbed Mt. Fuji. In September 1962, Watson was transferred to Fuchu Air Station, Japan, home of 5th Air Force. He was selected as Airman of the Quarter several times during his assignment to Fuchu Air Station. In 1964, he was reassigned to the Command Post at Headquarters Strategic Air Command, Offutt AF3. In February 1965, he transferred to the Individual Ready Reserves.

William Morgan Atchley, called Morgan by everyone who knew him, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2026, at 68 years old, of an aortic aneurysm. He was born on November 21, 1957, in Louisburg, MO, to Bus and Pauline Atchley, and attended school in Buffalo.

A truck driver for most of his adult life, Morgan was a man who valued freedom and family above everything else. Everyone who met him knew that what you saw was what you got, and there was no changing that — even a stroke in 2021 couldn’t get him to give up his love of the open road, his only concession being to trade his Harley motorcycle for a trike. A man of deep conviction and strongly-held opinions, you always knew where he stood, and it didn’t matter what you needed — if he couldn’t do it, he knew a guy who could, and he’d get it taken care of. He was impossible to miss when he entered a room, and he never slowed down unless he had to, putting everything he had into the things he loved, whether that was race cars, or motorcycles, or guns, or golf, or his relationship with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived and deeply missed by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Virginia; his son-in-law, Aaron; and his grandson, Liam.

Don Clifford Day, Sr. age 76, of Elkland, Missouri, went home to heaven on Sunday, July 25, 2026, at his home with his family by his side.

Don was born on August 13, 1949, in Springfield, Missouri to the late Clifford and Edna (Bryant) Day. Following high school, Don attended two years of college at Drury. He worked as a union electrician, retiring from City Utilities in 2015.

Don was united in marriage to Louella Burkart in 1972, in Miami, Oklahoma, to this union a son was born, Michael Lee Day, with Cliff Day being adopted by Lou. The family enjoyed bluegrass music, traveling to festivals and churches, singing and playing music. Don served for decades as a reserve Deputy Sheriff in Greene, Christian, and Dallas Counties. Personally, Don enjoyed stockcar racing, horseback riding, and competition shooting. He was an award-winning Cowboy Active Shooter (CAS).

Don was a faithful member of the Show-Me- Cowboy Church in Marshfield, Missouri. He was actively growing in his faith and sharing Jesus and his love with others.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael Lee Day. He is survived by his wife, Louella Day, son Cliff Day and wife Jennifer, grandson Daniel Day and wife Bethany, and a beloved church family.

Edward Seaburn Robertson, son of the late Eddie Ray and Mary Lee (Tucker) Robertson, was born on June 16, 1934 in Roff, OK and departed this life on August 13, 2026 at his home in Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing he was 92 years, two months, and 26 days of age.

Edward was raised in Oklahoma and attended grade school in Berrvalley before graduating from Tupelo High School. He was united in marriage to Helen L. Belcher on January 16, 1973 and together they shared 45 years before her passing. Edward enjoyed being a cattle rancher and spending time on the farm. He was a hard worker, always doing what needed to be done to take care of his family.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife Helen; his parents; one daughter, Joyce; one brother, Benjamin Robertson; and five sisters, Joyce Stutte, Cora Cressell, Mary Jean McDaniels, Donna Faye Barker, and Billie Faye Geckler. He is survived by his children, Jim Robertson of Sulphur, OK, Lesley Robertson of Sulphur, OK, Keith & wife Catherine McElwain of Yuba City, CA, Barbara Robertson of Buffalo, MO, and Joyce & husband Craig Harrison of GA; grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Gage smith, David Robertson. Cristy Gordon, Andy Roberston, Josh Harrison, Brett Harrison, Michael Harrison, Katie Harrison, Nicole Harrison. and numerous great-grandchildren. JoAnn Sanders, age 87 of Fair Grove Missouri, Sacramento and Florin California passed away peacefully in Missouri on Sunday August 2, 2026.

JoAnn was a native Californian who moved to Missouri after she retired from the Sacramento Welfare Department. She loved her home out in the country between Fair Grove and Buffalo. She made new friends, became an active member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church, volunteered for the Dallas County Library, Buffalo Food Pantry and the Reading Buddy program.

At that time she was devoted to sharing her life with her son Charles Matranga. She also ended up with a blue heeler dog- Honey who gave her much unexpected joy and comfort. Even though she was a fan of Emeril Lagasse (BAM!) she learned how to prepare healthier food. JoAnn came from the era of the 4 food groups which included bread and butter and loved her glass of milk every day. She also loved Apple Fritters, candy bars, cheeseburgers and milk shakes- yep you could say JoAnn was a foody!!

When JoAnn lived in Sacramento she loved being a part of the Sacramento Blues Society, loved music, drank chivas regal whiskey, smoked Kool ci******es. She enjoyed many different cultures and appreciated many different belief systems. She started each day with a cup of coffee, cigarette and read the newspaper thoroughly. She was very disciplined and completed crossword puzzles, watched her favorite gameshows and read a lot of fiction. As time went on due to...

Bob Warren Sharp, son of the late Granville and Minnie (Gault) Sharp, was born on September 3, 1933 in Windyville, MO and departed this life on August 2, 2026 in Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing he was 92 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age.
Bob was raised and attended grade school in Windyville and graduated from Buffalo High School. He worked at Jim Peter’s Dairy for the last two years he was in school. After graduation, he went to work for Glenn Davidson TV and Appliance for 11 years. Bob then began his career with the telephone company which later became ConTel Telephone Company. He worked there for 27 years, including the last 17 years in management. Bob was united in marriage to Donna Oliver on June 8, 1952 and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive him.
Bob enjoyed hunting quail, raising birddogs, and talking with people around the world on his HAMM Radio where he was known as “Crossarms.” He was this first operator to raise an antenna in Dallas County and the first to reach Germany on the radio.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim and Bill Sharp; one son-in-law, Terry Okerstrom; and one granddaughter, Ashley. Jo Ann Bramwell, 87, of Windyville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on October 27, 1938, in Long Lane, Missouri. Jo Ann was the daughter of Joe and Veda Dull. Raised on a farm in the Ozark Hills at the close of the Great Depression, she grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work, family, the land, and God's grace. Those values became the foundation of her life and guided her throughout her 87 years. She attended Windyville High School before beginning the next chapter of her life with Dennie Bramwell.

In July 1957, Jo Ann married Dennie Bramwell. Together they shared 69 years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, hard work, and enduring love. They were blessed with two children, Byron Nordell Bramwell and Delanna Yandell (Bramwell) Toevs, who remained the pride and joy of their lives. Even though work first led them to the city, they never let go of their dream of returning home. After purchasing their first farm along the Niangua River, they eventually settled back into Windyville, MO. Side by side, they spent 44 years farming together.

Kenneth “Ken” Edward Elkinton, age 66, of Buffalo, Mo., entered into rest on Sunday 26, 2026, at CMH in Bolivar, Mo., after a short illness.

Ken was born on November 9, 1959, in Lynwood, California to the late Paul and Patricia (Weekley) Elkinton. Ken was united in marriage to Tedi Swift on June 28, 1997, in Nixa, Missouri. Ken worked as an over the road trucker, musician, and union carpenter.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers Stacey and Tracey. He is survived by his wife Tedi Elkinton of Urbana, sons Dylan Elkinton and wife Savannah of Buffalo, and David Elkinton and wife Nichole of Independence, grandchildren Oren, Luka, John and Noah, two brothers Richard Elkinton and wife Rachel of Knightdale, NC and Seth Elkinton of Lebanon.

There will be a celebration of life held at Tedi’s home in Urbana on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10 am to 10 pm.

Terry Dean Satterfield, son of the late Harold Henry and Rosa Mae (Barr) Satterfield, was born on September 29, 1957 in Springfield, MO and departed this life on July 27, 2026 at his home near Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing he was 68 years, eight months, and 28 days of age.
Terry attended school in Charity through the 6th grade and then moved to the Buffalo Schools. He married Andrea Faith and to this union two sons, Ryan and Jared, were born. He worked in HVAC, piddled as a mechanic, and clearing right-of-ways. He was a Shriner and Mason and loved spending time on the farm doing hay, and aggravating people.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ryan; and his ex-wife, Andrea Faith. He is survived by his son, Jared & wife Sami Satterfield of Rogersville, MO; one brother, Claude & wife Stacy Satterfield; and two granddaughters, Carter Lynn and Laramie Faith Satterfield. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.

Billy Gene Burtin, age 82, of Long Lane MO, departed from us on July 23, 2026 in his home.

Bill was born in Long Lane to Bertrum Owen and Faye Irene (Potter) Burtin on September 23, 1943. He attended school at Cedar Ridge and Long Lane Elementary and graduated from Buffalo High School. Bill attended Cedar Ridge Church where he was saved and baptized in 1960. During High School he met Myrna Talbott, they were wed on February 8, 1962. They were blessed with three children Pud, Buck and B**b, also known as the Bad News Ranch ranch hands.

Bill worked on various farms before stating a Carrer as a Bridge Carpenter, retiring after 50+ years. Durning retirement he worked on ranches, worked with horses, hunted and fished while being the proprietor of the Bad News Ranch.

This broad shouldered, rough and tough cowboy, was many things to many people, but always remained his momma's baby boy. Bill was devoted to the Long Lane Lions Club, making sure it was always mowed and looking good for all events. He lived for the Youth Rodeo; he couldn't wait for September to come around so he could help with and be a part of making all those kids cowboys and cowgirls for the day.

Bill crossed paths with many people over the years through his many hobbies, and community events. He played softball, showed horses, rodeoed, c**n hunted, fished, deer hunted and many other things. He loved teaching and sharing these things with his kids, grand kids, and...
