This month, we're excited to recognize Danna Gumatas from our Laboratory Department!

Danna was nominated for her positive attitude, willingness to lend a helping hand and the kindness she shows both her coworkers and patients.

🫁💙 Happy Respiratory Care Week!

This week, we're celebrating the important role respiratory therapists play in helping our patients breathe easier and live healthier lives!

At Harper County Community Hospital, we're especially thankful for our Respiratory Therapist, Cindee Kissman, and the care she provides to our community.

And what better way to celebrate Respiratory Care Week than by sharing an exciting addition to our respiratory services!

Thanks to grant funding from the Oklahoma Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), HCCH has added a new Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) machine!

Pulmonary function tests measure how well your lungs are working and help providers diagnose and manage conditions like asthma, COPD and other breathing concerns.

Cindee will perform these tests and guide patients through each step. Testing is noninvasive, requires no needles and may be available for children as young as 5!

This new equipment also complements our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, giving patients with long-term lung conditions more resources to manage their breathing and stay active.

For our rural community, that means fewer trips out of town and more access to important healthcare services close to home.

Before your little ghosts and goblins head out for a night of trick-or-treating, take a few minutes to talk about Halloween safety!

From watching for cars to making sure costumes are safe, a few simple precautions can help everyone enjoy the night.

🍬 Check out these helpful safety tips before heading out!

And a reminder to drivers — slow down, stay alert and keep an eye out for excited trick-or-treaters!

💕 Today, we're wearing pink for a reason!

Our Harper County Community Hospital staff came together in pink to show support for those who are fighting breast cancer, celebrate those who have overcome it, and remember those we've lost.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to remind the women in our community that taking care of your health matters.

We know life gets busy, and it's easy to put your own health last. But regular wellness visits and recommended mammograms are important steps in catching breast cancer early, when it's often easier to treat.

At HCCH, we're here to help you take those steps close to home!

💕 Schedule your annual wellness visit with one of our providers.

💕 Talk to your provider about when you should begin mammograms.

💕 Take advantage of our visiting mobile mammography services when they're in town.

Whether you're due for a checkup, have questions, or just haven't made time for yourself lately, we're here for you.
