Neurodivergent patterns of care - deep pressure.

Deep pressure is when someone requires physical grounding and closeness to feel safe, calm, or regulated.
It can look like long hugs, leaning against each other, hand squeezes, weighted blankets, cuddling, or even sitting
shoulder-to-shoulder in silence.

Can you relate?

Pebling is often dismissed as “random little things,” but for many neurodivergent people, it’s actually a quiet and deeply intentional way of staying connected.

Sometimes care looks less like grand gestures and more like:
“this made me think of you.”

What’s something someone has “pebbled” to you before?

Neurodivergent info dumping isn’t “too much.” Sometimes it’s enthusiasm. Trust. Joy. Regulation. Invitation. Love.

For many neurodivergent people, sharing information is a pattern of care, a way of saying: “I want you in my world.”

Instead of asking, “Why are they talking so much?” we might ask: “What are they trying to share with me?”

**You may notice us using the phrase “patterns of care” instead of “love languages.” We’re making this shift to use language that feels more expansive, neurodiversity-affirming, and aligned with the heart of this work.**

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms showing up in ways the world doesn’t always notice.

To the mothers advocating, accommodating, researching, regulating, comforting, translating, protecting, celebrating, and loving deeply every single day - this is for you.

We all give and receive care differently.

For some people, it’s words.
For others, it’s shared interests, practical help, quiet presence, remembering details, or making life feel safer and easier.

How do you give and receive love?

You haven’t seen me here quite as much, but I’m working on another creative project behind the scenes! Any guesses?
